It's over! Albeit a little shorter than expected.

Would you consider BB16 to be a success?

Personally I thought it was crap. Too much outside information, meddling, terribly biased edits showing favouritism of particular housemates, crappy tasks, constructed arguments and a total lack of professionalism all around.

Those are my views, what do you think?

It was crap in the main, Marc lifted it while he was in, but before and after that, it was just boring crap.

The first few weeks and the final few were good once they were left alone.

The middle was serious crap with H***n in there and Marc following in H***n's footsteps.

If this was allowed to develop on its own, we probably would have seen some good strong characters instead of last year's rubbish.

It was a car wreck from start to early finish.

If some media studies course ever wanted to put together a "how not to make a TV show" lecture, highlighting this mess of a series would cover every single point.

I agree, it seemed so unprofessional without any solid guidance by a professional.

Manufactured, unpleasant, vindictive, unprofessional, possibly indicative of the end of Big Brother.

No.

They bollocked it up week 2 with the 4/4 twist.

They also seemed to constantly focus on arguments and showmances, when they had one of the most interesting casts in years - which they should have allowed to progress and form storylines naturally.

Too much interference by the producers to make the show into some kind of perpetual bun fight.
I would have liked to have seen it evolve more naturally without so much outside information and extras

Personally, I think it was yes.

Certainly not as bad as some on here would have you believe.

Nobody is ever satisfied on this forum so not surprised AT ALL by the poll result. It's the same every series. I voted yes.

It was a complete shambles.

The housemates were okay but they never really got a chance. The series was suffocated with desperate twists. The legends twist became particularly awful, I ended up switching it off some nights.

The producers are the ones who should be getting evicted.

I gave up half way through when Helen came back into the house.

I was going to watch the final, but I thought it was tonight.

No, especially the visitors.

It got to the point where I can barely make the difference between BB and CBB.

On the whole, I enjoyed it. The original housemates were good but Aaron's ejection spoiler that phase of this series a bit for me. 4in4out was not the disaster some made it out to be, especially as the only decent housemate we lost in that twist was Kieran.

Marc was irritating at the start of his stay but I gradually warmed to him as the weeks went by. The "legends" fortnight was a waste of time and is the only thing I would have changed about the series. I switched off for a week whilst Helen, Aisleyne and Nikki remained in the house. After that, things were much improved. Hotel BB was interesting although Marc's subsequent eviction was a shame, Cash Bomb was superb and the best week, with the cherry on the cake being Harry and Sam's double eviction, and then the final week was also great as we really got to know the final 6.

All in all, a decent enough series. I'd give it 8/10.

It's absolutely not the same every series.

It's true that there's always moaning and fury on here from some people at some point in each show, but BB13 and 14 didn't unite people in thinking they were sh*t overall like BB15 and BB16 did. There are reasons for that.

It was absolute rubbish and it got worse as time went by

This

The middle chunk was some of the best Big Brother I think we've had - and viewing figures picked up nicely

Either ends were awful failures, however

There's always been this level of moaning as long as I've been visiting

Every year I see the same few names posting utter despair and misery at the current series

This year's seemed to revolve around whether people liked Marc and the Timewarp housemates or not ... Polls here suggest about 2/3rds of us did ... The 1/3rd who didn't just spend ALL DAY moaning about it; butting into every thread; spamming; etc

On this

For EVERYONE banging on about 4in4out being a "failure" - understand that is just you ... The viewing figures before they did that were abysmal

Channel 5 had to call an emergency meeting - the show's future was in question ... 4in4out was an attempt to get people watching ... And this forum was the quietest I've ever seen (during a series) it before that night

Here are the viewing figures ... By the time Aisleyne entered (TV3 figures included) BB got the highest viewing figures the show's ever had since Channel 4 ... The twist, mid-series, was a roaring success by any standards

It was car crash tv, too much outside information and IMHO Marc ruined it particularly after he was sent to the secret room with the ex housemates. Too much negativity and not enough fun. The tasks were abysmal and just not good enough.

I really enjoyed most of it this year. I liked the cast and genuinely didn't mind who won, except for Jack. Although I disliked Helen's appearance, I did like the legends being on the show. Sometimes we need extra dynamics and Marc became a legend in his own right. He was a breath of fresh air.

I lost interest after the 4 in 4 out and stopped watching completely at the end of the following week. Seeing how the series turned out with some awful old housemates coming back and seemingly non-stop manipulation I'm glad I did

It was a random mess. Some of it was good, quite a lot of it was awful. But there have been worse series.
