I'll always be fair and I'll start with the positive.

There was one thing that they did fantastically this series, and that was the casting. I'd say easily the best group of Housemates out of all of the C5 series, and I say that both for the originals and for Harry, Marc and Sam. A really interesting bunch, some ordinary people, some villains - a great bunch.

But yet again, the producers showed that they just can't bear to sit back and watch the show unfold. The first few weeks were really good! This series could have been the start of Big Brother coming back up. Then they did the 4 in, 4 out twist - I don't actually mind putting in new Housemates, they added something new to it, but evicting so many people was not needed and hindered the series. The group was still interesting enough that they may have still just got away with it, but then they put ghastly Helen back in with a couple of others, and it was around about that time I gave up. I stopped watching just after Jade was evicted as I was no longer enjoying it, I had other commitments and there wasn't really anyone else in the House I was liking - except for Harry, but even she was only being edited in a will they/won't they with Nick, and I'd rather have seen her as an individual rather than setting her up for a storyline.

I'll still give it a try next year, as I wait in hope for Big Brother to get good again. This was the closest it has come in a while, and I suppose makes it all the more disappointing. When I think back to how much I was enjoying this series when it started, I feel really cheated to think how it became. The last series that I really enjoyed was BB13.

So did I - as you say, many are never satisfied, on here

I quite enjoyed it - missing it already

I totally agree. The timebomb theme didn't work for me.

You took the worlds right out of my mouth - up until 4-in-4-out it was shaping up like an old-school BB, slow-build, seeing character development, then ... boom, the Marc show started and the rest were relegated to bit parts until the last 2-3 weeks, when it became interesting again, a bit more rounded out.

Could have been a good one.

Here are the viewing figures ... By the time Aisleyne entered (TV3 figures included) BB got the highest viewing figures the show's ever had since Channel 4 ... The twist, mid-series, was a roaring success by any standards

I checked those figures and 50 days there were LESS viewers than last year, the other days were either the same or more

The 4 in 4 out was exciting but unecessary because the housemates seemed interesting and I would have liked them to develop rather than just chucking them out. The legends were ok and it was good to see Aisleyne, Nikki and Brian but I never liked Helen although she does bring drama. I think the worst part is all the noms meddling and Sam's unfair was an absolute travesty.

No! One of the worst ones imo. Too much focus was put on Marc, Helen, Nikki, Aisleyne, and Brian to a certain extent. They were the ones carrying the whole show. Once they left, it became worse

Complete flop.

Every time I thought 'Ah! at last! they've found something to give it a lift' in the next breath something else would send it down, down, down again.

My 'what lifted it' was 4-out-4-in (got rid of some dullards, rattled the smug, and injected some life) and my 'what downed it again' was the choice of VTE on the week Marc was up.

Other people would probably say the complete opposite.

Hardly anyone seems happy with this series, so either way, the powers that be got it wrong.

As a whole i don't think you can call it a success, to much meddling, too many twists and far, far to much messing with noms, giving immunity passes on launch night after what happened the year before was just unbelievable. and you always knew Simon would be back. The fact is we never had normal noms - i.e no one immune, all nominating and all noms in DR and kept secret!

Though the thing i will always remember this series for is of course seeing Nikki again!

Not really as the producers fixed a lot of things about bb that weren't even broken. The twins, keiran, Harriet and Sarah could have flourished and developed a lot more. However the tossers behind the scenes wanted a lot more fireworks hence picking marc in, the return of pointless simon, Harry was actually ok and Sam was too quiet really. I think if bb is to return next year that they never do another twist like that ever again.

Having said that I was happy with the winner of this series and delighted she was a winner that was cheered unlike her predecessor who was basically hated. I think a lot more trust will come back for bb next year if the producers get things correct and if they are a lot more passionate over the show as well.

Voting to evict in fairness isn't working anymore as interesting people are leaving like the ones in the beginning, also there needs to be less outside world interference, more police at eviction nights and production staff too as the crowd are too out of hand with jeering, heckling and insults too boding for cheap and trashy tv.

The legends back was a real joke as was having no live feed and too much tampering and meddling with nominations. Hope the production team implement a more straightforward less complicated way of contestants voting for each other like what they have done in the past. It's too convoluted now.

Like we say before bb in our country could be really good but it needs a revamp and a re format badly. The loss of nick samwell-smith would be quite welcoming too as I believe he was the skurge of why bb this year and last year was so disastrous.

What has you thinking it had "the highest viewing figures the show's ever had since Channel 4"?

It didn't!

The highest number after launch night on the page you linked was 1.40m, which was reached for only one day. Even last year's BB had days higher than that.

The highest weekly average was 1.22m, which it reached for only one week. Last year had 6 weeks at that level or higher.

The 4in4out was a minor success, but only by bb16's low standards. It took the 'legends' and Aisleyne to get it to more respectable levels.

No chance, it was a complete mess of a series.

It could have been if they'd just left well alone. Yet another promising series killed by excessive twists and meddling.
