Why does EE think £10 is free?

Then text SUMMER100 to 150 to get all your free data. (the 100GB per month for 2 months.) So the 100GB of data per month for 2 months is free, The initial top up is clearly stated as £10. |

Why do they keep doing these? Instead of this I'd rather they just priced more competitively and with larger allowances. I presume it can only be a soak test for larger allowances and their effect on the network.

But nowhere do they say it's all free. Just the 200GB
Considering the fact that data would cost you over £200 any other way I would call that free. |

Excellent, I could do with another of these. Going back to shared broadband over a BT line when my SIM ran out was rather depressing!

I'm not complaining about this offer, but I don't get what EE hope to achieve, as soon as the offer ends you are left with some dismal add ons and packs to choose from. Do people really stick with EE after the offer ends?
I'll be taking this offer up, like the last two times, and not give EE a penny more than I have to. |

Can you just top up £10 and then text SUMMER100 on an existing EE PAYG?
