Sam Evans BB14
I wasn't on here when BB14 was on and Sam won. But I've read a few posts saying he was quite unpopular on DS.
Why was this? Was it because he was a dull winner? Or, did he have a Chloe-esque backstory? |

He was very boring. You never knew he was even there. Imo, he only won because in the last few weeks he was there, he started standing up for himself and others against Dexter which excited viewers. Much like how Ashleigh was with Helen last year.
A very nice guy but a totally forgettable housemate and an undeserved winner. |

He was just a dreadful HM. Offered absolutely nothing and Chloes best bits make her look like a proper BB legend compared to him.
When we finally got LF back on 12-2am he was in bed before it started nearly every single night! |

I read your thread title and it took me a while to remember who he was! He was very dull, one of the dullest HMs ever to me, and I don't even think he was particularly nice either, yet he was branded with the "nice guy" tag while Dexter was the "snake", the editing/general opinion (particularly on BOTS) seemed very black/white. He was just... there... for the majority of the series.
It was a good series overall (I'd say the best on C5) but a very anticlimactic end. |

I think with the big characters and storylines going through BB14 - Gina, Dexter, Hazel, Callum, Charlie etc
Sam was a bit of an anti-climatic winner. However along with Chloe he is a standard BB winner these days unless you have a betting syndicate in place and friends of the production team (hello Helen) |

He is one of the examples of BB winners over the years especially C4 days. The ones that don't annoy or excite viewers enough, do not annoy anyone in the house and coast all the way to the last 2 weeks. By time it's too late, the viewers spend more time knocking down the extroverts and rude but likeable housemates so people often forget that the quiet winner has not done much in the house.
Also some people was swayed by him being partially deaf. I thought he was a decent young kid. |

He was dull and I personally didn't like him because he was passive-aggressive and bitchy towards Dexter, who was my fave HM of that series.
