Apart from the rumours of potential housemates and UK v USA theme, all I have heard so far is that public BB is to be shortened and rather than CBB starting straight away there will be a break of a few weeks before it starts. Has there been any updates on this or is it still a big secret? How long is CBB scheduled for?

I hope Emma isn't hosting it. She's far to conservative for Bb. Would love someone with a raw edge to them to be the presenter.

It will be Emma and Rylan for sure although I think a few people are getting a bit sick of the sight of the pair of them. Every time I seem to put the TV on their faces are staring back. There is such a thing as overkill!

How come there's such a long gap this time?

Because we've had over two months of solid Big Brother and it's good to give the audience a break before starting again.

But in all previous C5 years the gap has been a few days, why has it been extended so much this year? Just asking as I gave up on this series a long time ago and was looking forward to getting my BB fix with CBB, but I guess I can wait a bit

This series started a few weeks earlier then normal and it's also been cut short by a week so that's why it sees like such a long gap. It always starts mid August

Emma will probably tell us at the end of Thursdays final

So in a nutshell ... no one knows when it is starting they are just making an assumption based on previous years.

They are finishing BB early, so there will be await for CBB.

cbb summer ratings haven't been great in recent years, so there probably hoping with a months gap they will be able to build up hype&ratings.

If it starts that late I'm not sure if I'll watch. I think I'll just be too busy at school to commit to a month of CBB.

Surely they are having a massive remodel of the house? That's the only reason I can see why they would leave it so late between series

they wanna build up interest, having a bigger gap will probably result in bigger ratings for the celeb version. It does make it a bit too close to the January one though, although that will probs be moved forwards as well.

i really don't see the point in having a 'summer' CBB [tbh end of august - mid September is more autumn imo] if its 5 weeks after normal BB ends. whats the point? and like Oliver said, its too close to Januarys CBB, im surprise C5 can even get so many 'celebs' to take part
