After two years of a deal with talk mobile the phone has gone t"ts up so its time for another one. Talk mobile was with Carphone warehouse but now CPW are using iDmobile, whoever they are!

Its easier if I stay with talkmobile as I assume that CPW are now a totally separate company. Has anyone else experienced this changeover?

Unless I am mistaken, TalkTalk Mobile may still use Vodafone's network where as iD Mobile use Three's network.

TalkTalk hasn't been a part of CPW for a few years now, it was spun off into what we have today.

TalkTalk Mobile will shortly be changing to O2.

Just a few points to add into the thread. Talk mobile and talk talk mobile are not the same. Talk mobile is and has been for a long time owned by Vodafone / run on vodafones network and no longer owned by the CPW. iD mobile is the CPW new network as stated running on threes network. Talk talk mobile having nothing to do with the CPW what so ever indeed runs on Vodafone moving to O2 as some point soon.

Ash45 - Potentially even more confusing but many thanks for clarification!

Looks like it will be easiest to get another phone from Talkmobile over the web with Vodafone as the network provider. The decisions are just as difficult at my cheap end of the market!

I will just conclude by saying that a call to Talkmobile resulted in a new monthly deal with a Moto G for a tenner a month. It took less than five minutes!

I have found TalkMobile to be a very unresponsive company.
I would not recommend them. I believe they are owned by Vodafone.

Just a note.

Talktalk mobile is a completely different MVNO from Talkmobile.
