Jane is going to give the phone and purse to the police and sonce ben mugged lucy...he will look guilty and the police won't believe that he didn't kill lucy.

To be honest, I can't believe that the police hadn't looked harder at Ben before if only because he was related to Lucy and has form for hitting people over the head (Jordan and Heather).

There has to be a reason that Jane held on to the purse and phone and the only one that makes sense is that it's her insurance that Bobby won't be blamed. If she needs to, she can use to throw suspicion on someone else.

From the spoilers in Inside Soap that

I agree that there must be a reason for her keeping them but how will she be able to use them to throw suspicion onto someone else? I can't see how she can just walk into someone else's house, hide them and wait for the police to find them. But, hey, this is Jane and she is obviously way more devious than me!!

We have to remember that Jane is a demented sociopath that lives by no morals. Anything is possible.

I am still trying to get my head around the storyline that it was Bobby in the frame for the murder??? Never saw that one coming...... Look forward to seeing how they play this one out......

I disagree. I love Jane and always has. Jane done what she could to protect her son
Bobby is the closet to a child she will ever have and she is doing everything she can do to protect Him,Her,Ian and Cindy.

I wonder how they're planning on redeeming her, they can't keep her like this forever, can they?

If that's what it takes then yeah.

There is another possibility worth considering, bobby doesn't know he killed Lucy, he hit her because he was fed up with her causing arguments within the family, he thinks she left the house and somebody killed her on the common.
Another scenario is that Bobby did hit her , but didnt kill her then somebody else came in to the house and finished the job. he then found her on the floor, phoned Jayne and she assumed he killed Lucy and then took steps to cover it up. If you remember there is a scene where Max is standing outside the back door of the house at one time and you didn't actually see what he did next. Just throwing this in for discussion.

She'll either "confess" to killing Lucy to save Bobby or dying to save someone (probably Cindy or Ian) from Bobby's next attack.
