Mobile Security ?
On the PC I use avast for security & am often offered this for my mobile.
I do not though not often use the internet on the mobile so to date have not installed any anti-virus ETC. What do you guys use if anything & is there a threat like on the PC ? Thoughts. ? |

Android Dont allow unknown sources
iPhone Dont Jailbreak No need for mobile AV even though they are only malware scanners not virus scanners. |

Like said above you should not have a problem if you only download from the Apple or Android stores (as long as you don't install anything without any feedback or any with bad feedback), but I've got Kaspersky on my phone and computer anyway as I get it free from Barclays and don't see any harm in having it anyway (also it's got a built on phone locator and other anti-theft options).
I have not noticed any slowdown on the phone since I installed it, so don't see any problem with having it on there. |

Download from respectable sources. There might be a good reason why a certain app is not available there.

Thanks for the feedback.
So it seems that its a non problem then, it was just that on occasion I do check bank details & my wife often uses crapbook on hers.

Same rules apply for use on a phone don't click on weird links or "You are the 1,000th visitor click here for a prize" common sence, some people don't have any AV on there computers
