CS: Tracy has really flourished under Blackburn.

I know Blackburn hasn't been a great producer and Tracy has never been that well liked. But I think he has done wonders with Tracy, he has finally got rid of that two dimensional villain, also trying to win Steve back that Tracy has been doing for years under various producers.

First we got to see her vulnerable side after Rob was locked up for murder and you could see how much Tracy loved him, I think that was the first time we saw Tracy have feelings for someone other than Steve. I am so looking forward to the new direction Tracy is going down, we have had the panto villain for too long and it's going to be great to see if Tracy can start to make amends and fix her past mistakes. Blackburn has really given Tracy some depth and character development IMO and actually made Tracy more likeable than before.

Well done to Kate Ford, she has always been wonderful, especially this past year.

Couldn't agree more, this is the best Tracy has been since her return in 2010 and developing her character means she can stay around for longer. I really don't know how much longer they could have kept the 2 dimensional heartless bitch mode up for. I also think Kates' acting has massively improved and she was the best actor during the announcement that Dierdrie was dead and funeral episodes.

Tracy has been great to be fair.

I doubt Tracy is going to go full circle and become mother Theresa and nor would I want her to but she really is becoming a much more likeable and well rounded character, and I welcome the change. IMO Tracy has been the most consistent throughout the whole of Deirdre's death and subsequent episodes.

At least now we're seeing that Tracy does have some emotional depth. Kate Ford has also been outstanding. I have ripped her hammy acting to bits in the past but she has vastly improved recently.

It's just a shame they had to write out Rob Donovan, I thought they were an excellent couple.

I think they're doing a great job with Amy too, she has some great one liners and Elle Mulvaney delivers them brilliantly. I always think she says what Blanche would have said.

I was getting really fed up with Tracy and it seemed the character was very one dimensional and it seemed she was only there to be a pantomime villain, but recently I haven't been getting annoyed by her storylines, they seem better thought out and the character has a little more depth again.
Although I didn't like the Tracy/Tony storyline.

BIB - at the time I would have agreed with you as they did make a brilliant pairing and he added lots of layers to Tracy's character, they were a bit like Bonnie & Clyde but I am really interested in Tracy's pairing with Robert Preston as I think she needs a good influence in her life.

BIB - totally agree, that has been the only let down for me. They really didn't need to go there IMO.

I'm glad we're gonna see another side to Tracey and I think Robert will be a big part of this new side. I'm not expecting her to completely change because that would be ridiculous but the bitchiness towards everybody will hopefully be a lot less. Also no more criminal activity.

No, no, no. Nope. I'm sorry but Blackburn deserves no credit. This isn't a producer coming in and deciding to save a character. This is a real life event that has made them take this route. If Anne Kirkbride had not passed away Tracy would be the same as ever. They are utterly clueless for it to take such a tragic thing to happen before they realised the character was going round in circles. I'm not praising anyone for that.

As for Tracy being all nice. Shouldn't she be handing herself into the police? Until she does that she's not changed.

Really? Pretty sure she start a fire (for no apparent good reason) which ended up killing 2 people not long ago along with committing pre-meditated murder 8 years before. Making breakfast and brewing tea for people doesn't excuse it. If she really had changed at all then she'd turn herself in to the police and leave Amy in Steve's custody but no, she had the perfect opportunity to come clean on Thursday to Carla and she lied.

2 weeks of being something other than a panto villain and suddenly SB deserves praise? Not for me. Her character is too far gone to be revived.

Couldn't agree more with Hankshaw and JohnDoe14's posts.
