No stereo from Sky+ to 2nd tv

I've got a coax cable running from the second output on my Pace Sky+ box to my Toshiba LCD tv in my bedroom. After solving aproblem with the Link+ remote system I can control the Toshiba but can only get mono. I've tried the sound setup but it does not give me any choice - mono only. When I play a dvd or tape I get stereo so is mono from the Sky+ box normal or have I missed some setting on the Pace box for second output?

The only way to get a stereo signal via RF is using NICAM, the Sky+ does not have a NICAM encoder.

This is where a video sender comes in as it will send stereo sound to the second set as well as a composite picture and remote control too.

Might be worth thinking about if stereo is important to you.

You'll see them in the Argos catalogue.

As asdigi said, the RF (coax) output will only give you a mono signal when watching Sky+, although it will pass stereo signals through from the RF input to the RF output. So, if you connect an aerial to the RF input, you will get stereo on the normal terrestrial channels.

If you want a stereo signal, you will need to use a digsender, connected to the Sky box using scart or S-Video & phono.

This is a real pain for me as well. I've got 4 TVs connected via RF2...

EDIT: must..learn..to..type..faster

Whilst searching for a new distribution amp I found http://www.cyberselect.co.uk/category/21 which has a couple of stereo RF modulators.

They are not too expensive - probably a lot cheaper than buying 4 AV senders at any rate
