We have the big disaster to look forward to but apart from that are you interested or more interested in the other soaps?

Emmerdale is the soap I rarely miss, the others I dip in and out of or just read the spoilers and forums.
The reason I like to watch Emmerdale is that it keeps me interested in all the characters, on occasions I might even shout at the Tv (I'm looking at you Miss Debbie Dingle) I like the way things are kept quiet, for example Archie not being Archie, Rachael turning up and Charity having Moses. I'm enjoying Lauren getting some brilliant scenes, I've always liked her and think she makes the scene.

It's the only soap I'm up to date with. EastEnders is miserable and Coronation Street is appalling yet again. While I'd like to jump in to the telly and slap Debbie Dingle it's the most enjoyable of the three big soaps.

bib:

I don't blame you. And she and Charity are ruining my favourite character, Ross. He works so much better away from that gruesome twosome.

Still enjoying the show though, in spite of that nonsense. Roll on the disaster; wonder if the producers will show some nerve and kill off a Dingle or two?

Largely yes, but there's a lot of focus on characters I hate at the moment; Bob, Brenda, Pete, Charity (when she's supposedly not even in it ffs,) Marlon, Rachel, Sam, and Jai. Sick to death of the lot of them. Apart from that lot I'm enjoying it, certainly more than the other soaps at the moment.

Love Emmerdale, it's the only soap I watch regularly, and it's usually entertaining, with a good cast of characters.

On the other hand, not a good week to ask me, because we've just had 5 whole days of flaming Ross and Debbie shoved down our throats and I absolutely HATE this storyline, it's rubbish and has turned Ross into a crashing bore of monumental proportions.

I'm just hanging on for the Big Explosion at the moment.

Exactly this!

Too many horrible characters at the forefront of stories at the moment, looking forward to them all being destroyed in whatever disaster is coming and then being majorly disappointed when they're not.

I'm loving it, plots are moving along quite nicely and there is always something to keep my interest

Emmerdale is the only one I watch out of the big three so I can't compare it with EE and CS. However I'm not enjoying it as much as I was because Ross is in it so much and I can't stand him.

*high fives*

BIB: Oh LOL, I really will be, I'm sure. We can have a post-explosion wake, where we mourn the failure of people like Jai to die horribly when given the perfect opportunity.

Well no doubt I will be mourning several of my favourites, so will be absent from the forum for a few days.

Just kidding, about not coming to the forum at least.

I used to be Emmerdale's biggest fan, but I have stopped watching now. it is just constant sex and violence. The character of Ross is totally boring - steal a car, have sex, bash someone's head; repeat: steal a car, have sex, bash someone's head in. Hopefully we will get a new producer soon and we can have our real Emmerdale back.

I know he does but I'm not one of them. I think Pete's great but I know I'm in the minority. But we all like different characters. .

Loving Emmerdale at the moment, cant wait for summer disaster. Strongest soap Imo. However I do feel sometimes its the Debbie dingle show, always the main character in big episodes, like the siege and it looks like the summer one is heading that way too, since its her wedding!

I've not got a problem with sex and violence but I agree with the rinse and repeat bore fest

Debbie once again pretending to be a caring mum who can't be doing with criminal and untrustworthy men. She must have forgotten about getting into bed with a murderer let alone her family and her own dodgy dealings in the past when she was a mum.

How many times has Ross said he's told Debbie everything and no more lies whilst lying through his teeth.

I like Ross but this pathetic merry go round story line has put me right off him.

It is my favourite of the lot, but I'm not enjoying it as much because of the characters that are involved in the forefront of the major storylines at the moment. I'm surprisingly enjoying Neighbours more at the moment.

Finding the endless Debbie / Ross / Pete story tiresome. That apart, for me, it is much stronger than Corrie, in terms of the standard of acting, and storylines.

Oh, and PS - how can anyone look forward to a disaster? I know it's fiction but I for one will not be wallowing in it.
