What questions would you ask him about his time on Emmerdale and Coronation Street? Please don't write any malicious questions. Just questions and praise or constructive criticism about his work.

If it has to be nice then it is limited I would ask; Are the rumours true about Sally and Kevin getting back together? If yes, why are Sally and Tim being split up when they are a good couple?
Are there plans for new characters to fill the gaps left by the actors/actresses who have gone recently and planning to leave e.g Owen, Katy, Rob, Julie, Carla, Lloyd?

What is in the pipeline for Eva when she returns?
Can you tell us any more about Aidan Connor and his family?
Are there any plans to revive the Jenny Bradley story and show the character's rehabilitation?
Any returnees?
How long-running can we expect the domestic abuse storyline between Leanne and Simon to be?

Are there any other soaps you would love to change beyond all recognition?

Why are the storylines so circular and repetitive i.e. camp Callum/Max/David/Kylie. Yes, there are lots of episodes to fill, but it's not like there is a shortage of potential material.

Why has Coronation St become increasingly panto over the last 10 years? Even serious scenes are mostly treated like they are a joke. The recent fire at Victoria Court being one of them.

What was the point of Maria's breakdown last year?

Do you understand what happens in an actual fire? Why did Carla cough her lungs out over being in a small fire for 10 minutes whilst Amy was in there for about 30 minutes and wa still able to stand up. Did you get any angry calls from the fire department asking why you'd insult them so much?

Do you understand anything about custody battles and social services? What job does Callum supposedly have according to them and why hasn't this been looked up by social services? Does Callum actually convince you a being a scary villain?

Are you intentionally trying to make this show a joke?

Why do you insist on being a soap producer when your so incompetent at it?
Are you on a one man mission to destroy ITV soaps?
Why did you make Deirdre's funeral an absolute insult to both her and the actress?
Why are you so determined to shove that camp gangster in every scene?
Any chance your considering moving to the BBC, Channel 4 or 5?
If you are, any likelihood of it being soon?
Why haven't ITV fired you for ballsing up both their top soaps?
How much longer are we going to have to put up with your badly produced crap for because it already feels like five lifetimes as it is?
Don't you ever get sick of producing such tripe yourself or do you not put yourself through the endurance test you force upon on your viewers of actually watching it?
Wouldn't you prefer to be popular for the right reasons for once?!

Echoing John Doe14's point why was there absolutely no aftermath to Maria's breakdown s/l??
Also do you intend using her at all when Samia comes back from m/l or is it just more random scenes making banal smalltalk in the salon for the rest of your tenure?
Also do you intend to keep on bringing in pointless new characters to a cast that is already busting at the seams?
Also why on earth did you bother bringing back Sarah just for the crap she's been given since she returned?

Finally on a positive note, are you going to keep making the effort to study the backstories of each character & make reference where appropriate, ie monday's brilliant episode with the Barlows & Deirdre's wake in the Rover's!!

I have a few

1 - As EP's only tend to stay with a show for around the 2ish year mark - when is he leaving Corrie and who will does he expect to take his place?

2 - Are there any stories he wish'd he'd done differently? If so then which story and how would he have changed it?

3 - Would he return to Emmerdale?

4 - Why did he kill off Carl King?

Why are you continually pushing the ridiculous plastic gangsta and his molls on screen?
Do you feel you should apologise for the dire Windass baby story?
Are you planning to start a new pop group with the 'celebs' who you are bringing in to Coronation Street, in place of trained actors?

What Collie said!

Though I did think Deirdre's death and funeral/wake was OK... I mean nothing amazing... But he didn't screw it up, which is fairly high praise in the circumstances.

Why are you not honouring the CS tradition of having strong female characters? (NB: strong does not mean mouthy, sarcastic and needy, like Bethany and Sarah). The strong females are dragged down and ruined (Kylie and Carla., and, if the rumours of a Sally/Kevin reunion are true, then add Sally to that list). Too much use of mouthy, whingers who don't "do it for themselves".

It is just let's-pretend, West End Boy, to get our dissatisfaction with Corrie of our chest. Even if Stuart Blackburn read the thread, he is too arrogant to admit he is getting it wrong.

Well said Collywobbles and Not Debbie Dingle.

I would just ask one question, when the hell are you going to clear off and let a competent producer take over? You ran Emmerdale almost into the ground and you are doing exactly the same with Corrie.

Agree totally with what you say..though you did forget to mention the disaster which is Callum and all the seedy silly and pointless S/L which appear to be attached to him..this is just not Corrie.

Deirdre's funeral and wake were brilliant (I cried throughout) but this was the Corrie I love...and looking at the all the other posts I think the majority of people would agree..

3. Please no, and wherever he goes take the current Emmerdale producer with him.

4. Tom Lister wanted to go. He was actively looking for another job.
