There seems to be Lot of the same story in corrie like they did on his time on emmerdale.

There are only so many stories that it's not surprising that they occur in different soaps with just slight variations, so I don't think anyone's copying anyone else.

They all have disasters so they can choose from crashes of aircraft, trains, mini buses, cars. They all want fires.

They include babies, so it will be conception, miscarriage, still birth, live birth, death soon after birth, kidnapping, who's the daddy, teenage pregnancy.

Marriages can never happen without something going wrong. There must be affairs.

Also include drugs, alcoholism, domestic abuse.

So they're bound to have the same stories just with different characters and variations depending on whether they are north or south, in a town or in a country.

Don't know which story you're referring to, but it's bound to have been done by one of the other soaps at least once before, if not a couple of times, in some form or other.
