I think it's filling the void of two hours that you get used to.

You probably have bb 4 months a year , so there is 8 months of the year you go without.

Feb - May, five weeks July, sept to Jan is the non period, so it's a maximum of 12 weeks

I tend to only watch reality ,sport , travel documentaries and selected UK drama

No matter how crap bb16 was, it was still something to watch. Having major withdrawal symptoms, but at least TOWIE and other reality shows are still on so not that bad really.

The only reality shows I watch is BB and I'm a celebrity. The only other TV I watch as a bit of cricket and programmes like Question time, Sunday Morning Live and Sunday politics show.
