3 coverage pathetic in Broadstairs

Is anyone else having frequent problems with a very low signal or no signal in Broadstairs?

It happens frequently to me and has been like this for a couple of years now. I have been with 3 for a number of years but the last 2 have been very frustrating.

I have complained to 3 on numerous occasions and they say that there was a fault. Recently they contacted me to say the fault has been fixed but it hasn't and things are the same.

I certainly won't be staying with 3 if this situation continues.

I am aware of the 'Three in touch' app, but why should I have to pay a subscription and then have to have an internet provision at my home to be able to use my mobile.

It's not good enough 3 UK and I am fed up with it!

Why have you stayed with them for so long if the coverage is poor? Have you considered another network? You could always get free PAYG sims from the other networks and test out the coverage.

This September, Three plans on launching low spectrum 4G which should travel further and give better indoor coverage too. But it looks like your area isn't 4G'd so I wouldn't expect any sort of improvement in coverage until at least 2016.

I am regretting staying with them.

Where can I find a map showing where my local transmitter is?

Are 3 still buying o2? If yes, when? I assume coverage will improve if that happens.

Sandgate has just got 4G on Three (A place more backward (but rich) than many places) so there may be hope for Broadstairs.

East Kent seems to be the land that time forgot: Until Sandgate got 4G, 4G stopped at Ashford and sweet FA east of that. Not even the Dover has got it and they always seem to promote that as an important place for some reason.

Meanwhile 3G ain't too bad in Folkestone and it was once on one of Three's infamous lists, so they have heard (and now forgotten) about the place.

Well, if they don't improve the signal here I will be leaving them as soon as I can.

I don't understand what has happened because the signal was fine for a number of years.

I'd been with Three for years but I recently changed from Three to BT Mobile, much better coverage in Ramsgate and Broadstairs, even 4G in some parts too.
It's also quite nice to have a 2G signal if your in a 3G/4G blackspot too.

Do a search on the Ofcom Mobile Sitefinder Site. Will show the transmitters in your area.

I've just come back from a week in broadstairs I'm on Vodafone and was really impressed with the level of 4g in the area now last time I went there was no signal at all on the beach but this time I got a bar or 2 of 4g which was perfectly usable even on joss bay at the bottom of the cliffs I was still getting a great 4g signal and when driving around I always at least had 3g

As for 3 and o2 - could happen, could not. No one really knows.

If it does it could be years before a merger of sites happen. Just move networks if your not happy as they aren't even cheap these days
