eastenders. ben is arrested. what did everyone think?

ok this week ended with DI marsden arresting ben for lucy's murder. this i found was a surprise. i was convinced marsden was coming for abi or max. the drama for the beales kicked off when cindy got into a car with two strangers she met at the albert. upon noticing this liam tried to stop her but there was noting he could do. so once they drove off the headed over to the beales to tell ian and jane. the police were informed and everyone begain to look for cindy. viewers saw the two men pull the car over and one offered her a drink after he jumped in the back with her. upon her return to the beale's she revealed that they tried to do stuff to her but she escaped. around the same time a journalist knocked at the door and revealed that there was a new suspect in the lucy beale case. wanting to protect bobby ian headed down to walford police station to try and see what was happening but was talked out of going in.

while back on the square di keeble and marsden showed up looking for ben. keeble informed the beales that the press release was a leak while marsden showed up at the mitchells looking for ben. phil tried to stall her and sent jay looking for ben. ben was sleeping with paul coker at the funeral parlor but became stuck when pam asked paul for lunch. once ben was able to leave he realised he had alot of missed call from his dad. while looking at his phone in the street phil and jay spotted him across the road. phil sent jay to send him away while phil distracted keeble and marsden. it was too late. keeble spotted ben and a chase ensued around the square resulting in ben getting arrested for lucy's murder.

over on the other side of the square lee was struggling to cope with his mental issues. this week revolved around the beales alot but it was a good week. what did everyone think?

I thought the bit when he was actually caught was hilariously bad. I just wish it meant he was leaving forever.

I did think the capture scene was a bit odd as after running round the back and through the side streets he then decided to run directly into a police car.

I think it's going to be fascinating watching Ian now. You wonder if Phil will go around causing havoc and will grow suspcious at the reaction he gets from Ian and Jane, forcing Ian to confess something to him.

Jay shouted "run" and he saw the police. He's a Mitchell, running when you see the old bill must be second nature.

Rather than have him hiding behind a skip and then running directly into the police officers they should have just let Keeble or Marsden run after and catch him.

I'm hoping its going to lead to an amazing scene between Keeble, Marsden and the wonderful Richie Scott.

Can't stand the Ben character .. horrible little runt with no redeeming features! Lock him up and throw away the key ... as soon as possible!

I love it when they run from the police. Since Walford apparently only has three interlinked streets, they just keep running around in circles like an east end village of the damned until a police car screeches to a halt in front of them. One day I fully expect the runner to suddenly realise they are are naked and running in slow motion whilst the rest of the Square exists in real time.

With It being ben i'm fine with. It wasnt nax like we all thought not phil after the cliffhanger when marsden turned up. However janes reaction is sickening. Ruined the character altogether with no chance at all.

I so agree.

I am going to enjoy seeing the little git get what he deserves

Ev is still dead, Peter got the blame for pushing Glenda down the stairs - he badly injured Jordan and abused his own sister.

He is also cheating on Abbi with the creosote shop store dummy (next to corpses).

Suffer Ben.

Suffer.

He served his time for Heather and doesn't deserve to be jailed for something he didn't do
