Why hasn't Ian's calm behaviour been not held into question

At least it's better than Martin and Stacey being on/off/on and camel-toe in every scene.

Probably just my bad memory here, but when were Ben and Max both with Lucy on the night she died? Don't remember a scene with the 3 of them at all.

Ben wasn't with Lucy the night she died. Max helped Lucy carry a drunk Jake into the apartment.

What's on the phone though? It's so long ago they could remind us from time to time! I mean I'm lucky I recognised the cab driver!

Indeed I had stopped watching as none of that held my interest.

Well that first part definitely isn't true as that was when he mugged her. I know Max helped her into the flat.. but wasn't the insinuation made that the witness guy saw two men together with Lucy? That's what it sounded like anyhow.. and that's what confused me. It sounded like they were saying Ben, Max and Lucy were seen together.

Fantastic episode. So much drama and that duff duff was great. The people complaiming on twittrr are probably Hollyoaks fans who can't cope without an explosion or 10 people beinh killed every 5 minutes.

Sorry I meant he wasn't with her later that evening. he mugged her after getting off the bus. She then brought Jakenon a taxi to square when max assisted her. Ben wasn't on the square then.

Loads of complaints from facebook and twitter to this storyline and episode.

Why? I thought it was great!
Different strokes for different folks.

Tonight's episode was good, but I care more about what is happening to the characters, when, The Masoods and The Foxes are involved. When it's about the Mitchell/Beales, I watch with no concern about what is happening to them.

Also, I don't really care about the Lucy storyline, despite the twists.

Fair dos. I like Shabs but the Masoods only come alive when Zainab is around for me. And I like Denise and Patrick but can't bear them playing second fiddle to Shirley/Dean, Kim and Vinnie.

IMO, the Masoods work great without Zainab.

That's wrong. After getting off the bus Lucy met up with Jay and Ben at the common. She screwed Ben over and left with Jake in the taxi. She and Max helped him home which is when she got hit, then later on Ben mugged her on Bridge Street.

Great episode.

The show's best storyline, The Beale household being the most compelling family to watch on the show, closely followed by The Mitchells.

This is better than The Carters/Dean/Shirley/Buster rape/grandchild sideshow, Stacey/Kush/Martin/Shabnam.

It's just so entertaining to watch play out.

The Masoods proved they can get viewers. Christmas 2011 with the fire after the long build up with Yusef. They don't need to be saddled with anybody else. Give them a storyline and people will watch them.

Oh is the witness guy the taxi driver?

How can he have seen Lucy with both Ben and Max?

This was class tonight! What a twist at the end eh?

This is going to cause a conflict of interest for Ian - does he protect his son or does his protect his brother? You can sense him and Jane are nervous, how is their relationship going to last now? The paranoia on both sides is settling and basically, someone is going to crack. Cindy and Bobby finding out about the evidence, neither of them are stupid and Bobby will think it would be the right thing to hand the phone in.

Loved the Sharon and Ian scenes. I can understand her concerns with Ben, and the fact Phil is taking her for a mug. I liked the scenes with Jay and Lola - they should be an item, but to be fair I feel they work well as friends/relations.

Seeing Marsden, Beech and Ritchie in the same room - like a dream! Three domineering women each with cracking one liners and each all corrupt as one another. The banter between them was classic. I liked Marsden's inteograttion of Ben. Classic.

As for Ben, well could this be his get out of jail free card? He is a selfish little closeted shite, and I don't think his Mum's disapperance has anything to do with it at all. He's just someone trying to fit in I feel. The turn-up with the Eastern European bloke when Max arrived with Abi adding that extra twist. Max will probably be blamed for it I reckon. And as for Abi, I can't stand her. Right little cow she is.

Overall - fab episode - 10/10.
Agree 100%. Best episode in a while, really good. The twist at the end though!

Of course. I wasn't suggesting otherwise. They've had some brilliant stories. And I would much prefer their current storyline if it was less Shirley/Dean/ and more Shabs/Zainab. I've been hoping for Z's return all last month!

So when did the taxi driver see ben?

They do now. But in the months after her departure Mas and Tam just looked lost whenever they appeared [which wasn't often]. The return of Shabnam, Tam x Nancy, and the addition of Kush [and by extension his mother] have really revitalised them as a family.

You're right. Recently, they have properly become my favourite family. DTC has done right, by the family.

Some people still feel like Zainab needs to return, but I think that, Masood, Shabnam and Tamwar are brilliant, together. I wouldn't mind Zainab returning, but I'm not bothered, if she doesn't.

I know.

I was agreeing with you. I think The Masoods are quite brilliant but they've had a quiet year. People forget how huge their story was in 2011. Ratings gold. The Carters feel shoehorned in with the Dean/Shirley/Buster stuff. It just goes on and on.

Apparently, the Masoods have a big episode in August. I'm hoping that means that they will have loads of screen time, next month.
