Main difference is that the LG is a smart TV and from what I can see the JVC isn't. It just means you can access the Internet, use YouTube, bbc iplayer etc etc just by connecting the TV via wifi, it's very good as we've had a 42" LG smart TV for the last 2 years almost and it's been brilliant.

For that reason I'd go for the LG, but if your not bothered about smart features then save the £100 and get the JVC.

Hope that helps abit

I've heard that JVC is not the proper quality JVC that it used to be, Vestel or something?

JVC have only rarely made TV's (most have long been just badged sets), and stopped TV's entirely in the UK a few years ago.

So JVC is just a badge used on cheap gear (like Hitachi, Sharp and many others) - but to be fair, back when JVC still sold TV's they were just bought from Vestel anyway.

Just bought the JVC myself, not a bad TV, not a great one either though. Our old TV died and needed to replace it.

If you can afford a more expensive TV, get one.

The speakers are dire, not only is the sound poor but they are far too quiet.

You are supposed to be able to disable the auto sleep feature, but everytime I do it doesn't remember it.

The biggest disappointment for me though is the media playback via USB, it is just so clunky, the files aren't even listed in alphabetical order either.

Had I had more money I would have probably picked a better one myself, likely an LG since I am impressed with the 22" I bought last year.
