Live and Let Die is very good. I've also always liked Lulu's effort (The Man With the Golden Gun), which seems to be disliked by quite a few people. Shirley Bassey's first two songs (Goldfinger and Diamonds Are Forever) are both great. Nobody Does It Better is a contender, but All Time High is possibly my favourite. Always liked Rita Coolidge's voice, and I think this is a classy song. The older I get the more it appeals to me, too.”
You are the only person to mention in the same post the 2 really underrated but great themes.....
Lulu - The Man With The Golden Gun, from 1975.
Rita Coolidge - All Time High, from Octopussy in 1983.
All Time High shockingly only ever made one week at No75 in the charts at the time of the film. Awful for such a fabulous song, great singer and all that film publicity with Octopussy, one of the great Bond films ever. In my top three of themes without doubt.
