That article doesn't actually state what the nature of the complaints was. The complaints could as easily be about the presence of a corpse, rather than the fact that it was two men.

It says in the first sentence "EastEnders has received complaints after airing an implied sex scene in a funeral parlour". It seems clear enough to me.

But they didn't say anything about the dead corpse

I assume the complaints related to the fact that it was implied they had sex in the same room as a corpse?

It would have been complained about regardless if it was 2 men, 2 women of a man and a woman as they had sex next to a dead body...

I'd have thought the fact that the article says "in a funeral parlour" makes that obvious.

It's undeniable that it was just so inappropriate. The implied necrophilia, that is - not Ben and Paul.

The writer must have finally lived out their fantasy of two people shagging next to a corpse...what must go on in thoses writer sessions/meetings!

I agree, It's quite obvious that the complaint is about where the sex took place.

There were 48 different complaints. Like bertypop says the article does not specify the exact nature of the complaints. The article does describe the scene as taking place in a funeral parlour (which it did), but doesn't actually say the the funeral parlour location was what the complaints were about. Would the author of the article even know the exact nature of all the 48 complaints at this stage? Also, different complaints might have been about different things.

It's hilarious, the episode was brilliant, the situation hilarious, it was black comedy done terrifically well! People need to get a life, they obviously nothing better to do with theirs

People have to much hate! If people want to have sex in a funeral parlour leave them to it! I just hope there's some young guys ducking by coffin when the time comes! Love life

If you don't like complaints
Stop complaining about them.

Necrophilia is having sex with or being sexually attracted to a corpse. Ben seemed more attracted to Paul than the corpse and who can blame him

Apparently, 48 people have too much time on their hands.

Yep. Seriously this is something i expect Kirkwood to do in his continued ruination of Hollyoaks. Not EE.

This is the second time that the EE scriptwriters have used black comedy and dead bodies in the programme. You only have to think back to the fake funeral of Nick Cotton and the way they argued around his coffin finishing up with knocking him (or whoever it was) partially out of it.

As you say, people need to get a life!

At what point did they imply that Paul and Ben had sex with the corpse? I must have missed that bit.

I didn't see it as a problem and thought nothing of it. People get it off in other places like graveyards and hospitals, so to me, this really isn't no different. People need to get a grip...
