Is it a rule of twitter that you have to possess the mental age of a teenager?

So is Danny back in Aisleyne's good books now? All is forgiven? I can't keep up with all these twitter spats.

That's just what I was thinking. Thank goodness I have never had anything to do with Twitter if this is the trivial stuff people 'twitter' about.

It doesn't look like much happened between Danny and Aisleyne, just like one tweet and a few people commenting. Is there any reason to think Sarah unfollowed him because of it?

I don't see any meltdown either.

Where should I be looking?

What other explanation is there ?

I notice he is already following in the footsteps of his bestie from Towie and 'advertising' ( where to have a good night out and get a great meat etc )

Do they get kick-backs for those kinds of tweets ?

I'm totally confused by Twitter TBH. I don't know who's replying to who - who said what and which way to read the conversation (up or down) - Actually 99% of it appears to be complete and utter drivel so I don't worry too much about it.

It does appear though that the age of 'maturity' is getting higher and higher - it's all incredibly childish and often very spiteful too.

It's not a nice world we live in a lot of the time IMO. I don't see the necessity of taking to Twitter to tell people exactly what you think of them.

Honestly the desperadoes you get on twitter is amazing. Never has the phrase 'get a life' seemed more appropriate.

This is one of the biggest annoyances of modern tech, as the kiddies using it are clearly managing, ergo it can't be that hard. Time was the worst you could fall foul of was can't set the video, but at least you knew what it was - now I see ads all the time for stuff & I don't even know what it is/what it does. Getting there with twitter but yes, couldn't they just make a simple sequential conversation display as it logically would?

re the Danny/Sarah fallout, if it was that severe you would think there would be a deleting of past tweets of hers going on, there is certainly stuff I'd remove if things had gone pear-shaped.

these z list / unclassified ''celebs'' should not be allowed twitter. there should be a vetting process.

It's difficult to know what's going on, because Aisleyne is replying to a tweet from Hannah Watts, and that tweet seems to have been deleted.
But it doesn't seem from this exchange that Ash is friendly towards Danny?

https://twitter.com/Aisleyne1/status/623244290857259008

In fact the only tweet I can find from Aisleyne to Danny is this one - https://twitter.com/Aisleyne1/status/623234029102493696
Which may or may not be banter?

It's tough to read anything into wannabe tweeting crazy stuff! Clearly pretty much all of them are up for easy sex. With whoever they can get it with. The only problem comes when you just don't have the time to sleep with them all.. you have to pick an choose... Lol

To an extent, it can show a sequential conversation.

If you look at some tweets you will see a "view conversation" link.

And if you look at an individual tweet, you may also see it as part of a conversation. For example, this one that emptybox posted a link to: https://twitter.com/Aisleyne1/status/623244290857259008

However, Twitter doesn't always know whether a tweet is meant as a reply or not, and with that, and with people deleting tweets, and so on, it can be very hard to figure out who said what to whom.

Thanks , I can (just) about cope with the view conversation side, it's the sub & offshoot replies that throw me a bit as you say, plus where tweets are quote tweets & if you have to work out what is the actual actual root of the whole thing - especially if you're reading half above & half below as in your example. At first glance I can't say I grasp what the 'of course I did' in that tweet tracks back to, at which point I tend to give up rather than spare the concentration to work it through.

edit/ in fact reading back to emptybox's post I see it is indeed in response to a deleted tweet, which isn't obvious (as when there's a this tweet has been deleted box in a quote tweet etc) so no wonder I can't follow but no matter, eh.

To all the people slating twitter - do you feel sufficiently superior now?

You're reading the twitter accounts of ex-BB HM's - !!! - it's pretty obvious it will all be inane drivel. Read it and weep, you're missing out on all the good stuff on twitter.

You make a good point. Considering every blue chip company (and others) worth their salt use social networks/ twitter etc I'd say those who slate twitter simply don't understand it.

When you look at companies such as the FT or Microsoft or the BBC, all with a twitter presence it should be patently obvious that it's not just some kiddie medium for childish insults as many seem to believe, but a global real time networking PR and marketing phenomenon.

(Twitter if you're reading this, a £1M a year job in your PR dept would be nice, ta).
