What were chloes odds at the start of bb16 like?

Hey guys and girls I was wondering what chloes odds were at the start of bb16 time bomb? Considering I don't know what the starting prices were like. I'd presume Danny, Jack and Harriet were the front runners as they did well on popularity when bb16 time bomb kicked off.

You could have got 7/1. So no more than an OK price. As the blog below explains, Chloe met a lot of the right criteria on paper for a BB winner, so she was never going to be that fancy a price to start with:

http://news.bwin.com/en/novelty-bett...irs,74454.html

But we can see from that the extent to which Nick and Joel outperformed expectations, and both Cristian and Harriet underperformed, so it's dangerous placing too much emphasis on what's gone on before. It's not an exact science, as Helen Wood showed last year. So I don't really see any point backing somebody with a fairly obvious profile for a show like this in Chloe that early at unremarkable odds.

Thanks very much, so pretty much a strong candidate for the title really.

Yeah. It wasn't a surprising result although I did think Joel would win on the night as he dominated the edit for much of the last week, even if some of his attributes weren't what you'd normally expect of a BB winner.

To be honest, part of me still thinks there was some sort of betting syndicate or similar behind Helen's win last year, which puts me off betting on BB in general. Although there's probably still money to be made betting on evictions, especially if you keep a keen eye on house news and know well in advance of key bits that are likely to make the main show and influence the vote.

I think CBB is probably a safer bet these days, especially as some of them have already been on reality shows before. Plus the casting is pretty formulaic, which helps. It's definitely easier to predict.

I think ashleigh became a little bit complacent of which is why she finished in second place rather than the winner, wheras helen seemed to graft a lot more and had to work very hard to get her odds shorten and for her to win.

Same with Joel this year, he was bookies fave to win bb, however voters seemed to think he didn't have enough back bone about him, so chloe clinched it instead as they felt she had more storylines and she put up with a lot in the house, but came through it in flying colours.

Eager to see if bookies and polls are incorrect over the impending cbb as they could well be.

Don't think personally Ashleigh's 'complacency' or Helen's grafting had much to do with either the win or the odds shortening so dramatically so much as a lot of money piled onto Helen while the odds were still decent, coupled with some very 'interesting' last minute voting patterns in Helen's favour...

What happened? YOU decide

Do you have a link to elaborate on this? Not suggesting it's not true, just that I'm curious.

I had her at 12/1 first couple of days locally oddly I had joel at! 9/1 at the same time. Local bookies got it wrong there.

I assume that they are not serious in suggesting that it was Adjoa's brown eyes per se that would make her a bad bet. But it's a fun fact that BBUK's only black winner, Brian, had ostensibly blue eyes (though I believe he used coloured contact lenses).

Chloes fan base was obviously a lot bigger than people thought. Their were people even claiming the result was a fix, if it was a fix ofcom would be involved and they'd have complaints on their desk. They've got zero complaints on their desk about this result, so chloe clinched it fair and square.
