By the way, Bubble seems cool, hope he wins.

Let's hope he doesn't fall over anything. Its funny because I remember more about those early series than I do the more recent ones .

Although I love Brian, I cannot understand what his problem is with Josh. He seemed determined to hate him as soon as he walked in

He fancied him really. That's what I remember people thought at the time. Hence being a tad mean to Josh to try and cover that up.

Because there was another gay man in the house, he felt that the public would be watching their every move to see how they react to each other: http://www.briandowling.biz/?page=body_projectsbb2_wk3

Also, Josh had been out for a while and was very comfortable with it, but Brian had only just come out before appearing in the house, which would only add to Brian's worries.

Thanks guys. I get that, I suppose. He was quite an insecure wee guy during this.

I'm now up to day 49. Helen still hasn't professed her love of blinking

Damn it unless that was shown on BBLB of course.

Paul just said the international popstar line and I cringed so hard I got whiplash.

I can't exactly remember when she said it, but it was definitely shown on the HLs. I'm pretty sure that it was in the first few weeks or so.

I miss them as well they had simple things and had more fun than they do now.

I absolutely loved Dean as a HM. I never saw him as boring at all and didn't get that he deserved that tag.

I think it would have been a very different house without him there as he held things together in a mature, controlled but non bossy or control freak way. I do agree he was the finest example of a true alpha male in BB history.

He's probably the BB contestant in history I'd go out for a beer with.

BB2 was my favourite series and it makes me sad to think what the show has become now.

Paddy was the dogs name.

When he died a few years later they put a RIP and a picture of him at the end of a show

Maybe it's because it was fresh. I think BB3 was the point it began heading for the dark side.

Didn't - 'the only gay in the village' sketch from Little Britain come from the Brian reaction to Josh thing in BB2? I am almost sure I heard it did!

I adored Brian then, but yes he was completely threatened by Josh, he loved being the girls gay best friend, the funny and camp one, and he was so worried that someone would steal his thunder! It was funny to watch!

Matt Lucas and whatisname from Little Britain said they based the character of Dafydd, The only gay in the village, on Brian after his reaction to Josh's entrance into BB.

Aww, that video is really sweet I can't remember if they got a terrible backlash or not, due to Helen having a boyfriend when she went in. I know Paul was waiting for her, did Big G just give up entirely? *edit* Davina has just said on the day 50 eviction show that she had spoken to Big G and he didn't want to go out with Helen any more. Fair enough.

I think having Elizabeth there with him helped Dean a lot. They are the mum and dad of the group without question. I wonder if things would have been different if one had been evicted earlier in the process (I hate that word)?

Dean is one of my favourite and in my opinion one of the most underrated housemates of all time. Funny, witty, clever and a decent bloke as well.
His comment 'at least it will make it easier to kill them' when Helen was naming the chickens after The Spice girls is also one of the better least remembered lines in BB history.

I loved bubble and Brian.

Helen and Paul were lovely aswell. It was great seeing an actual romance develop. I think they're still together as well

Yes it was. In my view the most genuine likable BB couple ever.

They're not still together. They split years ago. Grace and Mikey from BB 7 are our longest BB relationship.
