Hey!

Does anyone else get the feeling that the two main storylines on Christmas Day this year will be Lucy Beale (hopefully conclusion, surely it can't continue for two years +, has that ever happened?!) and Dean Wicks/Linda rape storyline.

As far as I'm concerned we are still long, long overdue the closure of the latter.

And I think Eastenders are dumb enough to prolong it for at least another five months.

Can we not get Christmas 2015 out of the way first?

Bobby will be revealed as the killer in EE last ever episode when he finally bumps the whole square off, buries them and the whole place becomes a graveyard.

I think Dean's luck will run out at the end of this year and Bobby's around the two year anniversary of his killing Lucy.

I'd like the rape to get its conclusion as soon as possible. I think it will happen at Mick and Linda's wedding, whenever that may be. They'd have suited a big summer wedding, perhaps on the square like Michael and Janine but looks like that won't be happening so I expect they'll marry at Christmas.

Christmas would be ideal to have the Lucy story end.

I'm sure I read somewhere that viewers shouldn't hold their breath for the Deano outcome of him being convicted.

I know a lot are saying the storyline is dragging, but I quite like the approach EE have taken, with Deano still walking around the square. It reflects a lot of what happens to rape victims, still having to see that person on a regular basis.

I think it adds a lot more to the story.

I hope DTC changes his mind and Dean is taken away by the police. IMO seeing as how effectively Marsden and Keeble are used, one of them should be brought back again to arrest him.

Just end the storyline ASAP and let the Carters go back to normal.

I rather not see another Carter Xmas, Mitchells or Beales would be fitting.

I hope Zainab returns by Xmas. Think Nitin said the Masoods are lined up for a pretty big storyline. He said there's no plans to bring her back, but hopefully it's just a red herring.

EastEnders could most likely go head to head with the last ever episode of Downton Abbey so they'd better make it good.

Whatever they do, it will be unrelenting misery. It would make a change if everyone in EE had a happy Christmas, but that's never going to happen - it would be too big a shock for fans, possibly fatal for some..

I hope it's a big Mitchell/Beale Christmas. Phil, Sharon, Ben, Kathy, Ian and Jane all deserve to be at the forefront at Xmas Day. I hope they all find out about Bobby.

I think the Carters will be in the episode but I hope they take a backseat this year. Last year, it was all about Mick and Linda.

I think the Carters should have the NYD big episode though.

I find the Mitchells/Beales more interesting than the Carters.

He did. I think that she will come back for a guest stint. Nina is close friends with Nitin and Himesh so it shouldn't be that hard to tempt her back. Plus, didn't Nina say ages ago, that she wanted a brief return?

I really hope it's an ensemble Xmas special this year but I have a feeling this year's Xmas will be all about Kathy, Ian, Sharon, Phil and Gavin. I think Kathy will find out everything about Bobby and she may be horrified to learn that Jane and Ian were willing to let Ben go to prison for a crime he didn't commit. I think it will be massive for Sharon because she will probably find out that Gavin Sullivan is her biological father.

I really hope Mick and Linda will get a happier Xmas - they deserve it. I would love for Mick to finally forgive Shirley and accept her as his mother. It would be very touching.

Another Carter Christmas would make me retch. Even a storyline with some minor characters would be better.

I think that, Mick and Linda's wedding, will be part of Christmas 2015.

Yep I think that could happen but it's a repeat of Kat/Alfie isn't it? They used to run the Vic back in 2003 and they had a Xmas wedding.

BIB: Yes, it used to happen a lot when I was a member of the younger generation (Ie, under 30!). I still can't get used to how quickly a lot of storylines in soaps are over and done with now. I preferred it the other way, I like a slow burner.
