Phil Mitchell crying in front of DCI Marsden
So Phil is not bothered about crying in front of his Arch enemy and why does he want the police to see him weak

Yeah, his son's getting blamed for murder and he's concerned. How pathetic.

I loved the Phil and Ian conversation last night, I thought it was really powerful and you could clearly see the affect it had on Ian regarding Bobby. So to me it made perfect sense when Phil went to see Marsden and was visibly upset, he is actually acting like a parent who knows what his own son is capable of and that must be very painful indeed.

He'd rather believe that his son killed again than accept that he is gay....the Mitchells have their image to maintain.

I think it was a really good twist. His conversation with Ian was such a good scene. We don't see this side to Phil a lot but when we do, Steve McFadden always gives it 110%.
Even though what Jane is doing is appalling, Phil recognises that his son has issues and thankfully admitted what Ben did to Heather was wrong. |

Why was Phil saying all that rubbish about Ben being different to him because he never hurt anyone? He's constantly associated with violence!
Superbly acted by Steve McFadden though. |

Nah just human. I like it. Steve has always been brilliant with this type of story line.

Seems like a lifetime away when Phil was considered the "nice" half of the Mitchell Bros......
