Hi, first post. Does anyone else love Erykah Badu? I've been a fan for years, Baduizm was such a perfect debut album. Most of her work touches me deeply, a very unique artist.

I'm not on twitter but I remember a few years back she tweeted a link to a torrent of a bootleg collection of her greatest hits, basically saying feel free to download for free, I've made loads of money and true art is free. Really impressed me that she seems so not monetarily fuelled. I downloaded it for free, but have also bought all her albums I think.

Favourite songs; woo, I want you, on and on, apple tree, penitentiary philosophy, and maybe my favourite get munny, sampling an old junior mafia song. Love of my life worldwide remix also makes my me happy.

Sorry to go OT, but are you a sister of Adore's by any chance?

I love me some Erykah too. My favourite songs would be : other side of the game, think twice, times a wasting, green eyes, bump it, master teacher, window seat

I've seen her live twice too and it was epic.

Love her voice - Baduizm is up there with my favourite albums. Thanks to a BBC 4 documentary on Motown, I found Erykah - really grateful that I love Motown and this was tacked on the end.

She's great.

On And On is a tune!

Thanks for the reminder. Will look into her work again.

I'm a big fan of all the acts in the Soulquarians collective. I buy all there albums. Baduizm is one of the best. I love it. I completely rinsed it when it first came out. I have been slightly disappointed with her subsequent albums, although they do still contain some great songs i don't think she has reached the heights of Baduizm again.
I was reading earlier today that she thinks the Black Eyed Peas have copied her video for 'honey' with there new song called 'yesterday'
(of course her version is better)

Yes, I think she is a great contemporary artist and I would say my favourite album of hers to date is Mamas Gun.
