In an update to my earlier thread, spotted: Declan Bennett, Rita Simons and Samantha Janus were filming at Elstree and Borehamwood Station today. They have been there pretty much all day.

They shot one scene outside the station with Roxy following Charlie Cotton in with luggage in tow.

Just seen: Roxy and Ronnie on the platform at Elstree calling after Charlie; it sounds like they have "lost" him, though as they refer to him being on another platform.

Lots of crew around and they have replaced the "Elstree and Borehamwood" signs with "Dartford East".

I expect Bogbrush has been hired as the new toilet inspector for TfL.

I think Charlie will be leaving soon but it's not a big loss to me because he's ruined.

Interesting that Roxy is seemingly planning to leave with Charlie. Where's Amy?

I have read that Declan Bennett is leaving in September so I'd guess that these are his final scenes.

Ronnie has a big Autumn coming up. I'm interested to see where the character goes from here.

Dartford East? Why didn't they just film here in Dartford? I'd be on the bus into town like a shot if they did.

Roxy should leave with Charlie, there is nothing left for her in Walford.

Good point about Amy!

Matthew not going to know his dad then either

I suppose if he leaves this way the door is left open

Does that mean it's possible Charlie is going to leave with Dot still inside?

I couldn't see Amy or any babies around on the shoot today, though I may not have been looking closely enough. Certainly Rita Simons and Samantha Janus didn't have the girl playing Amy in tow when they were filmed running onto the platform and Rita Simons and Declan Bennett were by themselves filmed walking into the station.

I don't think she even knows!

Where did you read about DB leaving, dj?

I guess ultimately Charlie has served his purpose, he was mildly interesting at the beginning but with Ronnie being absent for large chunks of the year it's made what ever storyline they might of had go off course, him & Roxy are blah and Dot's now a more recurring basis, his not really had much else to do, Ronnie will work fine with or without him.

It does sound weird. If Roxy and Charlie were planning on leaving why would Ronnie care? Unless something else has happened.

Roxy?

I do agree though. They were interesting additions that never reached anywhere near their full potential.
2 of DTCs better additions along with Stan, Sylvie and Yvonne.

Ah! Thanks Ecco66. Yes, that's what was being filmed this morning. I didn't spot Declan Bennett carrying the baby though.

No wonder Ronnie is chasing after them since they're taking her baby.

I am hoping DS has just got this wrong and that Ronnie talks Charlie round. He's a great character played by a fantastic actor. There was a little blip in the road with his ridiculous affair with Roxy but I'd rather see Ronnie and Charlie work at their marriage and become a real power couple!

I'm sorry but could they not have let Ronnie have her villainous side but have a husband and kid as well they always have to ruin her happiness could she not just have had this? Bad decision DTC

I think Declan Bennett has posted a farewell message to EastEnders on his Twitter account, so it does seem very final.

Elstree and Borehamwood / "Dartford East" station is a Network Rail station, not TfL, but OK.

He has a wide remit, Jayboy. There is no toilet Bogbrush won't scrub.
