NO. I was an avid Emmerdale viewer until recently, but I have given up watching now. Poor casting. poor writing and a poor producer. I hope these problems are resolved soon and we can have our lovely Emmerdale back.

It will be if they do the right thing and kill off Debbie Dingle.
I agree with that but unfortunately she i protected from on high. Why, I can only guess.
they give me robron so YESSS
If you mean Robert and Aaron (see it's not so hard to type) first two deaths please. Both detestable horrible characters and lacking any intelligence they may have been born with.

Ditto... ad infinitum.

It's certainly one of the few programmes I make a point of watching these days. It's not without its faults (relentless crime, to the point where it seems everyone's at it, some poorly developed characters, some stories that seem entirely devised to get a twitter following, and some avrrage acting) but it also has a few really good actors and when they get to do their stuff its truly unmissable.

I would have agreed with you 6 months ago but the Debbie/Ross stuff is dragging the show down, I've been enjoying Corrie way more lately.
I'm the same just because of Debbie she is so unlikeable.

If by the whole of television you mean including shows such as Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad then definitely not haha.

But it is the best soap for me at the moment.

No If you believe Emmerdale is the best thing on TV then you really need to broaden your tv viewing. Your favourite thing maybe, but no way is it the best.
Who do you think you are to state that somebody needs to "broaden [their] TV viewing" because they think Emmerdale is the best thing on television? People are entitled to have their own opinion, so hush your gums Mr. High and Mighty.

Those two episodes tonight are fantastic. Really first-class.
EE and the dismal whippetshit that is CS can't hold a candle to ED.

Definitely the best soap, tonight's two episodes were fantastic, both packed a good punch at the end of each, great endings to keep you waiting for the next.

I genuinely think it may be.
Its definitely the best soap at the moment and has been for a while (the Jai/Rachel & Debbie/Ross/Pete storylines are a bit boring though). Its streets ahead of the pathetic Eastenders and Coronation Street - then again what isn't?

That's why I put it may be your favourite! But under no circumstances is Emmerdale the best thing on TV. People are entitled to their own opinions but it doesn't make them right and this particular opinion is wrong. I am right. So no I won't 'hush my gums', how about you?

Fantastic episodes tonight, really can't wait for tomorrow's episodes.

Best soap hands down, should get loads of awards, but won't

Eastenders and Emmerdale are both excellent at the moment. Corrie is godawful

Urm.. sorry... but how can spomeone have a "wrong" opinion??? People can speak for themselves you know, and if YOU don't think that Emmerdale is the best thing on TV, doesnt give you the right to belittle the poster who does.

I think Red Dwarf is the best thing on TV, and I'm sure people would disagree, it doesn't make me "wrong".

I watch ED and CS. ED is brilliant. Storylines; actors everything . I loves it. i could easily give CS up as it's dire these days.

Emmerdale is definitely the best soap imo. It deserves a lot more awards and recognition than it actually gets.

Eastenders is really good. Coronation Street is just not as good as it used to be.

Emmerdale writers need to curb the tendency they have for letting certain villains get away with everything they do. ( not all..I reckon Robert's heading for some major comeuppance one way or another )
Charity, Val and Ross just seem to spend their whole lives screwing people over and coming up smelling of roses. It's infuriating and when there's a storyline of this type going on I usually stop watching till it's moved on.

Last night was excellent. All of it. Robert is a fantastic character, I really hope he's not on his way out...

In terms of quality, ED constantly delivers and is always consistent. I have nothing but praise for this show, it is easily my number 1 soap.

Not the best thing on telly though.
