That's why I put it may be your favourite! But under no circumstances is Emmerdale the best thing on TV. People are entitled to their own opinions but it doesn't make them right and this particular opinion is wrong. I am right. So no I won't 'hush my gums', how about you?

I felt so sorry for poor old Chrissie last night. I really felt her pain at the end of the second ep. Louise Marwood isn't the best actress but I have to commend her, her reaction to the affair reveal was fantastic.
Emmerdale has done so well recently at portraying some really emotive scenes. I cried buckets for poor old Doug last week at Hilarys funeral (compared to Deidre's which evoked nothing from me whatsoever) the end of Maurel was a time for celebration but I still felt a tinge of sadness the lovely Laurel, and then last night, Danny Miller once again puled it out the bag and delivered spectacularly, he expresses his emotions so genuinely its easy to forget you're watching a soap. |

Best on TV? hmm maybe not but it's definitely Number one soap right now.
It's funny how things change in a few months. EE was my top soap and was on fire earlier in the year and was way out on top but Emmerdale is now doing that. Great storylines going on, top acting, apart from a few it's a great cast aswell. EE although has improved over last few nights it is still lacking. Also there always seems to be news about a character getting axed or leaving which isn't helping them at all |

No, there are several shows that are better, but in terms of soap Emmerdale at this point in time is probably the best, its very good.

Obviously not, it is by far the best soap though. Last year I completely give up on corrie, tbis year I've completely give up on eastenders and I was nearly going to give up on emmerdale. I had about a month and a half recorded didn't have much motivation to watch it but did and I'm so glad it's been incredible lately and it's going to get even better. Feels like it has some of the excitement it did when the Cameron storyline was happening

Echoing others - best thing? no. Best soap? Definitely. For me it's been more or less consistently entertaining since the 40th - almost three years ago! When you think about the peaks and troughs the other soaps have been through in that time period that's quite something. I genuinely struggle to think of any significant period of time where I've lost interest.

Emmerdale is riding high at the moment and is on top form. I think it's been consistently brilliant since Kate Oates took over. She has worked wonders on the show, it really is gripping and unmissable for me at the moment.
I love the Robert/Aaron and Ross/Debbie storylines. And Laurel's drink problem has been my favourite storyline of the year so far. I am so so excited for Emmerdale's stunt week. Every time I see the trailer, I get so excited can't wait to see what happens!
