I think his problem with Les is that Les has a better hairline.

I don't mind him actually, I just hate his forced relationship with Ben. But hey, there is an unwritten rule in soaps that if two characters are gay then they must be sexually attracted to each other and have a relationship, regardless of any other factors such as personality or circumstance or anything.
That's not true and was covered in Thursday's episode: Ben Mitchell was gagging for Johnny Carter but was sent on his way.

"My boy has taste in men" - Mick.

What an absolutely shocking actor. Jarring to watch.
I thought you meant Paul Trueman (it's been a while since I saw EE, but I did catch some of it today. Doubt I'll be tuning in again for quite some time)

I actually completely agreed with Dean's assessment of him.

An entitled spoilt brat is exactly why I can't stand his character. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but Dean put it into words tonight.

Didn't Paul Trueman die like 15 years ago?

He's different... I'll give him that.

I like his relationship with Pam.

Not really the point. We're discussing Paul.

I really don't like him at all so far. Smarmy, arrogant, bratty and annoying.

Your silly comments about Paul's hairline are becoming tedious and boring

He's got a bizarre obsession with old people and their sex lives. I think he's repressing something.

I always give time for characters to bed in but he really annoys me and has done since he smarmed his way onto the square.

I actually enjoyed Dean 'owning' him last night - as for the acting well let me just say I hope it improves.

Drastically.

He's good enough for the loathsome Ben. It would have been a tragedy to waste a decent character (or actor) on him.

Very true.

But I do feel sorry for the street cleaners of Walford.

All that slime the pair leave behind them wherever they walk - it must take some shifting.

I really enjoyed that too, and then felt kinda guilty because obviously Dean's despicable.

I like the Cokers but it's strange that Pam and Paul seem to be regulars but Les just recurring

Was it that long ago

I used to be a die hard fan of EE but now (IMO) it's a pale imitation of what it used to be.

It comes to something when Rapey Dean is the sympathetic character in a situation
