Iphone 4S help urgently needed!
Hi guys,
I accidently spilt some water onto my iPhone 4S before and after quickly realizing and cleaning as quickly as possible, my phone seems to be stuck in headphone mode. I've tried blowing into the headphone slot as advised online but nothing seems to be working. I have tried playing music out loud and nothing happens but if I plug my headphones in, it works fine. I also called a number and when I put it on loud speaker, it worked but when it ended it returned back to headphone mode. The reason I need it urgently is I need to set an alarm for later and really want the sound back so it works! Thanks guys. |

Just another thing, my ringtones all seem to work and my alarm is working yet nothing else such as calls. This is really frustrating me. Can anyone help?

Did you remove the battery and all the other removable parts and dry them properly? Also fill a container with rice and place your phone in it to dry properly.
What the OP could try is getting a bit of tissue rolling it up tightly and pushing it into the headphone socket to try and clean out any gunge left behind. Another thing that sometimes helps is to plug the headphones in and rotate the plug in the socket three or four times. That can sometimes scrape off any muck on the contacts that is fooling the phone into thinking the headphones are plugged in all the time. |

There are no removable parts on an iPhone 4S it's all sealed up solid. So I suspect the rice trick might not have much effect. Also if the phone has been left turned on while wet then any damage has already been done.
