EE: Bobby Beale / Eliot Carrington

I've been lurking on forums for a while and finally made an account

Anyway, obviously Eliot is still young but how do you think he is playing the role of Bobby Beale?
Bobby is now a major character in the Lucy storyline but do you think that Eliot is handling it well (bearing in mind that when he auditioned he didn't expect Bobby to be the killer or have a large role at such a young age)?
His acting will be interesting to see if/when he finds out that he killed Lucy.

I think this storyline has potential to run on and on and on, but seeing as people are being arrested and incarcerated for long stints I do not believe it will go on for years and years, because if they had wanted to, they could of left it for years, one day he would eventually realise. Also I believe Max will not be in Prison, instead after being released, decides to leave as Abi was the one who stitched him up.

The storyline will be fantastic with Ben in prison and Ian knowing he didn't do it with Kathy being back. I hope that is the way it goes.

he clearly attends stage school, he doesn't act natural but more like he is on the stage, I keep waiting for him to break out his jazz hands

they need to get him to drop the posh accent too

other than that he is doing an ok job, I think they needed a stronger kid to pull off being lucy's killer when he is doing his "danger dn't mess mess with me" look there is nothing scary about it

and I don't usually diss kid actors cos they ahve had no training but this one has

Hello and welcome EE Live. I have no opinion on Bobby. He's a generic soap kid (well apart from the sister killing! )

I think he is brilliant in the role! Hopefully he remains in the role permenently now!
Also be feels more like a regular character now like tiffany and liam did when they were his age

I'm not an actor at all but it's obvious half the part is being able to draw upon your real life experience and bring it to the surface, and a child doesn't have that.

Do you honestly expect a child to pull of oscar winning performances?

He's doing fine for what he is doing.

I always give kid actors credit for that, they haven't got the life experience to draw on and a lot of them do exceptionally considering that. Bell from Emmerdale and Tom from Hollyoaks being great examples.

Young actors probably have to work a lot harder than the adult cast and certainly deserve more credit than they are given.

It could still run for years if they have the arrests amount to nothing and the case becomes cold.

Well children have won Oscars in the past.

But really I don't think it matters much. Not all actors need a life experience of anything to draw on in the performance. Just as not all actors use "method acting".

I think he's been good. That "uh-oh, I've been rumbled" look he gave when sat on Masood's sofa during live week was brilliant!

Hey newbie person.

Slightly off topic. I really hate the way the actors first name is spelt.

I think Eliot is doing perfectly fine as the Bloodbath and I await his next brutal murder with some considerable interest.

Same. Very odd to leave out the second L.

I don't think he's very good at all, there are much better child actors in soap.

Eliott is doing a great job, and he is cute, even if he is Norman Bates with pjs on.

Ha ha

I think he does a good job. I find him really spooky the way he always appears in doorways wearing either his posh school uniform or his murdering PJs.

Even if it just hand an "l" or a "t"

Bobby Beale hasn't had much chance to be fair, all he has done is look creepy in pjamas and try to square up to Phil Mitchell.

Personally the actor has a big task to achieve and lord knows how he has coped behind the scenes after the Eastenders Live 30th Episode Reveal.

Loving the evil little blighter. the only real challenge to Phil's dominance of the square, and makes the drippy little nerd that is Denny look like an angel.

I reckon even the writers are scared of Bob. He probably looms around the production office, never using a door, just appearing in the shadows with his trusty music box.

He's very dead behind the eyes. An example of someone who may of had a fair amount of credits and experience to his name, but it doesn't mean you are very good. He has more experience and credits than most kid soap actors. Yet a younger and less experienced kid actor like Amelia flannigan puts almost everyone she shares a scene with to absolute shame.

She has a natural gift, very rare and will go down in soap kid history.

Agree that he's way too stagey but I'm hoping they see potential in him as he grows up otherwise they wouldn't have made him a huge part of the story surely?

He's very handsome and has the eyes to scare us viewers.
