Although the factory isn't quite as established as the Woolpack or cafe in Emmerdale, it employs a few of the main characters in the village so is becoming an essential location on screen. I feel though Jai is a bit of a marmite character with some, so would like to hear your thoughts for the future of the factory.

Firstly, would you prefer

A) The factory to be taken over by a new character
B) The factory to be taken over be an existing character
C) The factory to stay in Jai/the Sharmas hands

So now we know who's in charge, would you like

A) The factory to continue with the sweet trade
B) The factory to start a new venture with a different product
C) The factory to close down and become something different

Bonus question
If you have 'written' the Sharmas and the business out, how would you like the change to happen? Debt takeover, death, sell up, or something different?

I would like Chrissie to buy the business from Jai and keep it on as a sweet factory, maybe extending it to other foods. I know I'll be shot down for making the comparison but I think she would make a great Carla Connor type character once kicking Robert into touch.

She could make Robert work there as a fudge packer

Emmerdale has too many horrible females a the moment with out anyone as totally detestable as Carla Connor.

Supposedly, yet she goes to Bernice and Kerry.

I'd like the other Sharmas to keep the factory as is, but Jai to **** off permanently. Awful, detestable character played by a poor actor.

I would like the "factory" to actually be a factory. Not one little room where a bunch of old women leisurely put chocolates into boxes like they've got all the time in the world.

Where are the production lines? Where's the noise? Where are the f***ing chocolates, for that matter?! The amount of sweets you ever see in that " factory" wouldn't fill a shelf at your local Spar.

Well she doesn't have her own salon in the village, plus she gets to check out the competition.

Beauty & Bernice must be doing alright, they haven't been sued as yet.

★ I would like a new character to come in. We're going to be losing a few soon so I would like someone new. There's quite a lot of single young woman in Emmerdale so I would prefer it to be a 30-40yr old man.

● I'm not worried about what they sell as long as the scenes there are more interesting. I usually find the factory scenes rather boring.

■ I wouldn't mind seeing the whole factory burn down with Jai in it! Maybe Priya and Megan could go off and start some other business up but I would like the factory to have a complete makeover and change of ownership.

Or maybe they could get rid of the factory altogether and start up another farm instead. I don't know why they don't have a bigger Home Farm. They could have more people working there (other than Sam who seems to be the only one).

New character / Family should run the factory.
