My issue with Tegan and Ziggy is it just isn't believable. Plenty of guys would fall for a nicer, less prettier sister but not VAIN guys. That is why they are VAIN. They believe looks are everything. It annoys me that BK always seems to put random characters together for the shock factor.

And the Diane thing is annoying. Now it is public knowledge about the switch, why haven't social services got involved? If anything they would be seeking to talk to Tegan and her rights to Dee Dee.

Quite apart from the sheer stupidity of this scheme and the fact that Scott is not to be trusted as an accomplice, as if you would leave your baby in a flat (hotel?) in Southport with a guy you barely know, who has almost certainly never looked after a baby before, who is the shallowest, most selfish, least sensible person in Hollyoaks (and that's saying something), and whom the child doesn't know from Adam!

She might have initially thought that since Scott is technically Rose's cousin he'd take good care of her - but then Tegan saw he couldn't be arsed with Rose, wouldn't lift a finger and only cared about his tan and getting off with guys. So she continued to leave him there with Rose because ...?

I actually think Regan is a bit mentally deficient. Its the only explanation for her bizzare behaviour. Who in their right mind would trust Scott with a child

She isn't ugly / or really really unattractive as you put it. She looks nice in real life with her hair down and in different clothes. I've seen photos of her done up with make up etc and she looks really nice. Have you heard of Tess Holliday? She is a plus size supermodel and looks great. She is a US size 22/24 (size 24/26 in the UK). She has a beautiful face and her body is in proportion. Just because someone is plus size doesn't mean they are ugly. I assume this is why you think she's unattractive given the Beth Ditto comparison? Tegan has a pretty face. There are PLENTY of men (and gay women) who fancy BBWs (Big Beautiful Women).

I think Jessica Ellis (Tegan) has a very rounded face which makes her look bigger over all than she really is. I bet most of the female cast are actually quite skinny (compared to the norm) so relatively speaking Tegan looks much bigger than rl Jessica.

However you want to look at it there is no need to rant about what the person looks like when the point that seems to be of debate here is how daft the character is behaving. Skinny, fat, ugly and pretty characters all behave stupidly but their looks have no bearing on the degree of daftness quotient so why mention it?

I agree, her looks and weight are irrelevant (except for the post about the unlikelihood that Ziggy would be interested in her). In the interests of fairness, I feel compelled to point out that Scott's teeth are equally irrelevant.

This whole story pees me right off. Cant stand Diane anyway and having her stand there and spout about getting custody of both kids and leaving Tegan childless really really peed me off! Who does she think she is?

So this story has now annoyed me even more because as soon as we found out it was Tegan who kidnapped Rose I knew this was the writers way of Diane custody because once Tegan got caught she would have a case. Cant stand smug Diane and Tony having all 3 kids just annoying way to get them custody me thinks.

Also are they actually going to take the swap thing further? I mean now the authorities know? So far there is no proof that Rose is Diane and Tonys. Teegan DNA tested herself against DeeDee so how do we know with Rose? There could have been a 3 way swap this is Hollyoaks afterall

Diane still shouldn't have a case to win custody of Rose. Realistically speaking, Rose should now go into care, with a possibility of Leela and Ziggy being able to apply for custody of her ... still, this is Hollyoaks, which makes Alice in Wonderland look sensible and true to life

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a third baby and parent /s. Hollyoaks will more than likely have another shocker up their sleeves. Nothing's ever straightforward and stories don't come to an end without another twist. Diane will lose Dee Dee who will go to Tegan despite her hiding Rose / perverting the course of justice and Rose will go to a foster home. I have gone right off shrew Diane. She's just a horrible harpy. There's nothing likeable about Diane whatsoever.

Oh God, surely they won't string this ghastly story out even longer? I was thinking maybe the point of the whole baby-swap/custody question was so that if Tegan went to prison (either for the fake kidnap or for being the Gloved Hand Killer), Diane (and Tony?) would probably get custody of Rose.

As another twist Grace could maybe apply for custody of Dee Dee as her half sister especially as she is desperate for a family etc.

Has Grace even acknowledged that any of this has gone on with the swap?, I would love to see Diane and Grace fight it out

Reading DS BK says the fans warmed to Ziggyand Tegan and this triangle will run and run. About weight issue. I was quite big as a teenager and when I slimmed down a boy I knew said I was far more attractive now. This ius the reality of the modern age. If we were back in the 18th century thin girls would be frowned on. How many celebrity men have large girlfriends/wives?

The reality is that Ziggy is the kind of man who loves his own appearance and has worked on it. Such men would want a trophy wife like Leela to match his appearance. If he came across as a better personality this might be believable but he doesn't.

They are bad characters and very weak and always needs a man to support them
Tegan has been styled to be a frump but her romance with Ziggy always felt forced and fake which is due to the writing

Tegan's outfits aren't very flattering. She always wears tight, high collared/buttoned shirts which make her look larger than she is.

It's quite cute that they keep trying to make it seem like Ziggy has any depth.

I think part of the reason why teens love the storyline/why the show is promoting it so heavily is that it allows girls to project onto Tegan and imagine the hot guy falling for them over their blonder/thinner/supposedly prettier rival. But then who in their right mind would want to be like Tegan? She's not very bright, not a very nice person, and her supposed Prince Charming is a serial cheat who doesn't have two brain cells to rub together ...
