What the hell was the point of Michael moving in with Andy and Steph - we saw nothing of it, and now he's back at Eileen's.

A complete waste of what could have been a decent storyline.

Exactly!! That was pretty much unforgivable whatever her reasons behind it!! I fully understand why Michael can no longer trust her!! Those were massive, massive lies when you consider the one, and really the only thing Michael desperately wanted before he pegged it with his dicky heart or whatever, was the chance to try & make it up with his son!! Whether his son hated him or not is irrelevant, he wasn't given the chance to try & that is some betrayal, whatever the motives!!

As for Michael & Eileen getting together, we should know by now that Gail & Eileen will always be fighting over the same bloke until some producer with an intelligent brain has a 'lightbulb moment' & realises that the general Corrie watching public grew bored of their silly feud after all the Sarah & Jason fiasco 8 years ago!!

It may have been unforgiveable but I don't buy this sudden leaping into a relationship with Eileen so soon after the breakdown of a comparatively new relationship - maybe if Michael and Gail had been together longer and were past the 'first flush'. It doesn't say much for the depth of Michael's feelings.

Though to be fair Gail hammered about 10 nails into the coffin of their relationship when, after they had almost reached a truce & were on the pont of a possible reunion, she flew ridiculously off the handle when Michael admitted his one, by comparison tiny, misdemeanour kissing Eileen during a drunken heart to heart and went flying round to attack her, saying some pretty unkind things about him in the process which, being a soap, he overheard of course!!
She practically pushed the two of them together & I really don't have a lot of sympathy!!

And I'm waiting for Gail to get her act together and tell Michael some home-truths - something along the lines of:

Now just listen to me for one minute, Michael - you've had your say, many times, and now it's my turn.

Where do you get off being so self-righteous, as though you never made a mistake? I didn't know what Andy had been done until Gavin turned up making threats and then blackmailing me. This is hard for me to say, and will be hard for you to hear, but rightly or wrongly, he hated you - he even said he didn't care if you died. At the time, I was in shock so obviously my judgement was going to be a bit impaired. Yes, maybe I should have told you the truth - and I would have done if I hadn't been scared you would die from the shock. At the very least, I knew it was going to hurt you, and I didn't want that. I knew the truth would have to come out eventually, but not then - not when you were so vulnerable. Of course it was wrong, but my motives were good. So if you can end our marriage and shack up with someone else in such a short space of time, well your love was never as strong as mine, because I did what I did out of love, and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

I'm not asking you to forgive me - I'm asking you to at least understand why I did it.

For God's sake scriptwriters - have the woman stand up for herself!”

Brilliant! you should email that to the Corrie writers.

THIS is more along the lines of the Gail who stood up to Richard Hillman "You're Norman Bates with a briefcase"
This is the Gail who angrily confronted David when she found out he were sending her cards from a dead Richard.
And she also didn't put up with any of Martin's playing around, she tried to fix it but it didn't work and she accepted it was over. There was no doe eyed simpering Gail in those days.

Todays Gail is a completely different character.

The scene where Eileen was slobbering all over Michael in the pub was sickening.

This is probably written so that we think Michael has been unfair to Gail. You'd expect Michael to be annoyed with both Gail and Andy.

This happened a few years ago with, sorry to be vague here, but a Scot who was a doctor specialising in looking after people's feet. I think his surname was Nail.

Michael and Eileen make a great comedy duo, with bags of scope for great one liners. With Les's great female impersonations, (well, Mavis ) for some reason I can visualise him and Eileen sat on a wall, pushing up their breasts doing a Cissy and Ada routine!

Thank you for filling us in. I just hope I didn't put my foot in it with my ignorance!

Snogging in the pub is quite puerile

Sorry but I think Michael's behaviour is quite disgusting!!

I cannot believe that he has just shacked over the road and is screwing (pardon my terminology) his wife's arch enemy!!!

I know what Gail did was wrong but her intention wasn't. HIS intentions when he born into her house was malicious but she still saw past that; didn't judge and ultimately forgave him.

I can understand him being a character that couldn't forgive what she did to him; after all he missed out on talking to his son and his funeral unfortunately, but getting with Eileen is just really bad.

So do not like Michael, nor those lily-livered looks he throws now and again as if he is doing stuff Eileen has asked seriously against his will. He's got a short memory and I hope he learns a lesson soon.

I almost brought up my breakfast, elevenses, midday snack, lunch, afternoon munchies and dinner watching those scenes in the Bistro the other night with Andy telling Steph what he had witnessed after popping home. Then we had Michael & Eileen standing there like a pair of naughty school children being told off my Michael's notson.

It was quite revolting.

I bet the writers married Gail and Michael just so Gail could fall for another wrong 'un and notch up another failed marriage. Now they are just taking the piss where Gail's relationships are concerned.

As for Eileen and Michael, they suit each other much better than Gail and Michael or the number of blokes Eileen has had in recent years.

It was absolutely sickening - too gross to even laugh at really At least it was only a description and we didn't have to actually see them at it. How dare they do that in someone else's living room anyway? Eileen has her own (doss)house and the ginnel's only a spit away.

Oh, and Michael and Gail seem to have forgotten all about their big romance - it's like it never happened. Is that it for them??

Lest us not forget the Nigel Havers episodes, Gail deserves to be manless just so we don't have to view her sexual harrassment.

I always remember Eileen and the tiny fireman's love scenes, she too, should be manless as she looks really uncomfortable when acting those kinds of scenes. Thankfully Corrie is keeping Eileen and Les Dennis' love making off of our screens.

And as I have said before, who would have thought, Les Dennis would be such a lady's man. I vote he gets off with Mary and they go off together in that magical mobile home fitted with a cloaking device.

Anyway, Gail has had a few men, yes one was a murderer, but they have all been quite good looking and she is a fit old gal, she could do much better than Dennis anyway. He always seems to look like he's either had a red hot curry or he's on the brink of a heart attack

Yes, both Gail and Eileen should take vows of celibacy out of consideration for the men of Weatherfield and Corrie viewers. Liz too really, but that would be hoping for too much.

I don't think Les Dennis should be getting down and dirty with anyone else either - it's just too unpleasant. Maybe he could resume his burglary career and get a nice long prison sentence.
