Oh dear, didn't he cry enough for you Sam? Maybe if he smudged a load of menthol tear stick under his eyes like Danny Miller does he would have cried you a river but he obviously prefers not to use it. I'm glad he doesn't.

Good post. Yes, it's been a decent and watchable sl, but EvilNuRobert clearly always had a limited shelf life and I'd be disappointed if he didn't get his comeuppance before too much longer.
I hope his comeuppance may be soon though not as soon as the Summer disaster.Quote:
i think ED is not at all unhappy having twitter fans adding more awareness for the show
![]() It's also temporary, all the Robert fans will stop watching as soon as he and Aaron are over for good or he leaves. I'm sure they are well aware that the twitter fanbase is so fickle as well. Good publicity for the disaster though. |

aaron has been there... surely ED won't make every other male gay/bi/no-label character suicidal??
![]() ![]() Although when the Katie thing comes out maybe they'll go down that path then.

Haven't you watched the trailer? I reckon he hangs himself in the woods. That's what the camera angle is all about. & I've not watched ed for ages.
Sorry, I just made myself throw up a bit. |

No, he didn't. I was not at all convinced by his attempts to emote. A tear stick would not have helped him.

I don't bother much with trailers, but really? If that happens, what's the betting Aaron will rush up and cut him down because hey, he's been there, and they're soul mates, so they can begin their great love.
Sorry, I just made myself throw up a bit.

Sorry, I just made myself throw up a bit. Is this supposed to be the funfair trailer? Why would anyone think he would hang himself from that? Or is this something new? |

I think Ryan Hawley has done a brilliant job of bringing back Robert Sugden!
Evil, bad, good, loving or gay - he has been wonderful! Bad guys live on in Emmerdale - look at Ross and Cain! There's always room for one more! (maybe Jai too!) See what the 'Summer FATE' brings eh? BIB Jai is not villain, he is an obnoxious ar*e, he could'nt play a villain if his life depended on it. Carp actor all round. Robert, on the other hand CAN act, except for his crying which he is duff at. But his smarmy, snidey, plotting underhand schemes are spot on. I just wish they hadn't paired him with that big girl's blouse Aaron. I can't see why they have to kill him off, Carl, and Cain were/are in the show for years after all the things they did. Eric was no angel either. They can always find a way round these things if they want to! |

He has worked before Emmerdale you know! And he'll work after. I've never said he's the best actor in the world - you can see he's learning as he goes along, and not everything comes off. I thought he was really stiff when he first arrived! But he has got better and given us some very watchable scenes. I find them watchable, anyway. Just as long as they don't involve Aaron doing his crying thing.
It would be better if people just kept it to saying they love watching the character. Therw would be no arguments about that |

Please don't get me wrong. I can 100% understand why he has a following and why pwople enjoy watching him. He's a proper panto soap villian. i sat panto because compated to someone like Silas in HO thats what he is and the difference in the quality of acting between those two is pretty huge. Ryan's portrayal of Robert is like a Val. Ok at the enjoyable big panto stuff but when required to tone it down and do some proper acting they fall short. He failed at the very basics of acting last week so god knows how anyone can say he's a good actor never mind amazing and brilliant.

Robert will find peace somehow. Saint Diane will take him in, and maybe he will find solace - via Victoria - with lovely Finn?? Who knows?! It's time we had a happily settled gay couple in the village! Maybe not eh? But it's a nice thought!

I think Robert will be around for a while yet.
After watching thursday's episode, I think it's an almost certainty now, that when Andy finds out about what really happened to Katie, it will be Aaron who tells him. And it won't be done out of duty or a sense of "doing the right thing", it'll be done out of spite, an act of revenge against Robert because, once again, Robert will have turned out to be "not the man Aaron thinks he is". So - given where Robron are narratively right now - we still have the whole rebuilding of the Robron relationship to get through first. |

I was just talking to my relative about this.
I reckon so, especially due to the fact that Robert Sugden killed Katie Sugden. Also we all know the powers that be would get rid of Robert before they would dream of getting rid of Aaron Livesy. It's a shame to me because I don't see the Sugdens lasting (bloodline ones at the very least) another 10 years. Producers never seem interested in Emmerdales original family. Oh edit! My first post! |

If Robert is killed off it'll be a huge anti-climax for me. He's so watchable. Ryan is a great actor. Please keep him!

I agree I doubt they'll get rid of Aaron.I'm not big on the whole 'commemorating the Sugdens stuff, but it is a shame that the son of the lovely Jack has been taken down this route. He could have been a bad un without being a psychopath. |

I hope his comeuppance may be soon though not as soon as the Summer disaster.
