It's just so good

Every single episode delivers. Great acting and I loved tonight's scenes especially the Paddy/Aaron and Robert/Andy ones. This week has been outstanding. Can't wait for the stunt!!! Best soap by far. Kate Oates is doing a brilliant job.

Yes, there is a slight improvement of late, but it's got a long way to go before it matches up to what it once was.

I think it's been brilliant pretty much non stop since the 40th but that's just my opinion. Maybe the odd lull in that time but generally Kate Oates has done a fine job. Recently it's been unmissable.

The Jai/Rachel crap aside, I agree. I haven't been ED's biggest fan in the last couple of years but I'm really enjoying it a lot at the moment.

Debbie holding Chas at gunpoint is a low point since then.

I've never been into Emmerdale until recently. The acting is superb! Everyone's great but i really see a future for Michael Parr (Ross) should he leave (hopefully he doesn't though)

I honestly cannot see Micheal Parr staying in ED for long...I would imagine he has a lot more ambition than to stay in a soap for any length of time especially with the repetitive S/L he is getting..

It's good that some are enjoying the OTT crime and violence programme that's being shown at 7pm on weeknights, but I'm waiting for Emmerdale to come back.

Very true. It's number one at the moment and delivering consistant quality that corrie and eastenders are very much struggling to do. I think Kate oats and the production team plus the cast are so amazing right now.

Emmerdale is on fire at the moment! Every episode is consistently enjoyable and dramatic with funny moments too. It is so far ahead of the other UK soaps at the moment in terms of characters, acting and storylines and it really should get more recognition. Can't wait for the big disaster, it sounds epic!

i think every soap has a long way to go before they match up to 'what they once were'.
ie its not going to happen.

i think Emmerdale this year has been consistently better than all the others without a doubt.

The last three episodes have seen year on year rises of over a million viewers and the best Thursday and Friday ratings since February and March. The show is firing on all cylinders at the moment and the next few weeks look very exciting too.

I would like to get back into Emmerdale but there's just too many episodes for me! Good to hear it's going strong though.

Emmerdale is massively underrated and deserves higher ratings and more awards.

You only need to watch one a week to keep up - the others are just re-hashes of the same stuff.

Rubbish! I have to watch carefully and pay attention as there is always so much going on and some plots move quickly.

I've watched continuously since the middle of 2013 and I'd say it's been consistently good throughout. I don't get bored of it.

Its all a question of opinion.....I have just caught up with the last four episodes and was disappointed I fast forward a lot of it.....though.. the parts that were good were very good.. like i said just a matter of opinion

Emmerdale is definitely the best soap at the moment, totally unmissable. Loving the Robert and Aaron storyline and can't wait to see what happens next week.

So you never saw the real 'good' Emmerdale. Pre March 2009 when the rot started to set in and got steadily worse. It's now at rock bottom.
I'm guessing you only read DS and none of the Emmerdale forums.
