This weeks EE has been the best stuff since the live week. Mainly because its a storyline that has gone on for so long its able to keep people's interest. Love the new angle of bringing in Marsden but I've also liked the fact the police officers are characters we have got to know over the course of the year which also makes it a better watch rather than it just being random cops. I love the fact Keeble knows Marsden is bent!

Indeed
It was nice to have a little break away from Stacey/Kush/Shabnam's saga for a bit. But that is not to say I was bored of them, but now and then, characters and storylines need to cool down and it was great having the Mitchells be at the centre for a bit.

I love how the recurring characters got so much time this week. Marsden, Keeble and Bryant need a spinoff. Just the little things/exchanges between them make them so three dimensional. The revelation about Ritchie Scott being a stripper was the best

There were some decent episodes, but I disagree that it was the best since live week. Kat's breakdown and her visit to the convent easily topped it, as did Stan's death week. Jean's wedding, the secret of the key and Stacey's breakdown equalled it.

I thought it was awesome, I loved Abi betraying Max, I loved Phil realising what Ben has become, I loved Ian and Jane deliberating about what to do, I loved Boby threatening Phil but most of all I loved Ma Mitchell strutting about and being a major part of the family.

Low point to the week was Shirley.

BIB So you didn't think that the low point of the week was Jane plotting to incriminate her husband's brother just to save her and Bobby's necks.

I really have to disagree because procedurally it has been absolutely awful, especially in the way the police investigate a murder, and totally unrealistic.

I realise that we have to allow a little "poetic licence", but there is no way a murder investigation would be carried out like this. Abi would have given a written statement rather than a recorded interview, and the officers would not have allowed Sharon, the step mother of one of the other suspects, to be within a million miles of the interview room. One of the detectives told her she was 'free to go' which was also stupid as she attended voluntarily and they had no power to detain her.

The scriptwriters have been really shabby with this, they really need to call in some advisors like they used to do on The Bill.

Really enjoyed Eastenders this week, had stopped watching for a while but went back to watching last week glad I did, glad to get a break from all the Carter drama.

No, because that was interesting viewing. Jane was acting out of desperation, but she did imply to Ian that she was prepared to put herself in the firing line for Lucy's murder to protect Ben and Bobby. Jane is not a saint, she has committed a horrific crime but I understand why she did it.

Shirley is a different story, we have been told that the reason Shirley is a vile human being is that her parents were also vile human beings. It's in her genes apparently, but that's no excuse.

Shirley's crowing at Max was not needed and just illustrated what a vile human being she is.

Each to their own S. I found both Jane and Abi's actions sickening.

The whole Lucy storyline is farcical. You've got to be brain dead to not see holes in it the size of the grand canyon. Poetic licence is one thing but this is the stuff of 'soap' satire show.

Yes but I cannot wait to see Abis reaction when she realises she betrayed her own father to protect her boyfriend who is shagging another man.

And I cannot wait to see Kathy's reaction when she inevitably finds out what Jane has done.

I wish I could care, but I don't. To think they're keeping this dreadful actress and getting rid of Danielle All I want now is to see the Beales locked up...but I suspect they're going to drag this s/l out for at least another year.*yawn*

It's a shame. The story had such potential, but as you say it's turned into a farce. And now they are going to bring someone back from the dead to try and inject new life into it.

Yes! I bloody loved this week. Fabulous stuff. Marsden and Keeble were the icing on the cake. And I suddenly started caring for characters like Ben and Max who I normally can't stand! I had stopped watching as the previous few weeks had bored me.

Best episodes since Phelps, ShazzDad and KatNun for me.

I see the point above about police procedures but bent cops and abuse of procedures aren't sadly just restricted to fiction.

Could have done without bratty Paul though!

I dont rate Danielle as an actress, she was a reality tv star prior to gettingthe job. I get the impression though that her axing was down to Daniells actions behind the scenes.

where on earth did you get that from. There's never been so much of a hint that she has behaved badly on or off the set.

I am loving the police trio and hope they stick around - although surely in reality Bryant would been taken straight off the case the moment the man his fiancée left him for was in the frame as a serious suspect, never mind charged.

They've been the best thing about this week, even though the portrayal of police procedures has been jaw droppingly bad.

I completely disagree. The Kat convent episode was well acted and well written until that ridiculous twist about her giving birth to a child without knowing it. Stan's death lost any gravitas it had when it descended into yet another excuse for Mick and Shirley to hog the limelight. Nothing about Jean's wedding, the key or Stacey's breakdown was particularly interesting to me but each to their own.

This week was by far the best EastEnders has been in absolute ages. Some of the best characters and actors at the forefront (Abi not included) and the biggest storyline in years back at the centre of the show. It was fantastic and a true return to form.

It's a shame EastEnders' good week wasn't reflected in the ratings. Aside from fairly good figures on Monday and Tuesday, it's been beaten by Coronation Street all week, beaten by Emmerdale on Thursday and tied with Emmerdale last night.

Oh well.

I agree it was a great week this week. I'm yet again looking forward to next week.

I'm not overly bothered with the upcoming Coker SL, but I did pick up a possible clue however that Les could be Vincent's dad?. Claudette said to Vincent in last nights episode that there hasn't been anyone since his dad. Then along comes Paul and tells Vincent that claudette and Les have been having an affair. Is claudette lying I wonder to cover up her affair with les?.

Doesn't surprise me about the figures. People on the EE Facebook page are moaning about the lucy Beale SL taking off again. Why they go on and troll the page I don't know. I'm getting bored again with corrie, so half watch it, but I don't go on their page and moan about how boring I find it lately.

Myself I'm enjoying EE and has my full attention.
