I agree it was a great week this week. I'm yet again looking forward to next week.

I'm not overly bothered with the upcoming Coker SL, but I did pick up a possible clue however that Les could be Vincent's dad?. Claudette said to Vincent in last nights episode that there hasn't been anyone since his dad. Then along comes Paul and tells Vincent that claudette and Les have been having an affair. Is claudette lying I wonder to cover up her affair with les?.
See I had that impression too.

its so much better when the interesting characters are at the forefront. Some decent acting these last few weeks from Beale, McBeale, MyCindy, Phil, Happy Carol, Max, Jay, Murderous Abi. Letitia Dean was as poor as usual but that's nothing new.

BIB So you didn't think that the low point of the week was Jane plotting to incriminate her husband's brother just to save her and Bobby's necks.
Or Abbey willing to try and get her dad sent down so Ben could be freed.

The Funny thing about that is I think she was expecting him to be released that day. Her face when Richie turned up without him 😂😂

I enjoyed it, but the police stuff was just full of so many gaping holes that it didn't grip me. Like in no reality would Abi be a credible witness, never mind be enough to get Max arrested and although I do believe there will be another twist, it was just a good week for me, not a great one.

It did have some great moments though - the Phil/Ian conversation was a highlight.

What do you think the police should have done after Abi's accusation? Questioned Max at home?

How nice to see people praising the show without it boiling down to a thinly-veiled attack on the Carters/a wearisome debate on which families are popular.

I agree it was a good week but as others have pointed out there were a lot of holes in the police stuff.

Doesn't surprise me about the figures. People on the EE Facebook page are moaning about the lucy Beale SL taking off again. Why they go on and troll the page I don't know. I'm getting bored again with corrie, so half watch it, but I don't go on their page and moan about how boring I find it lately.

Myself I'm enjoying EE and has my full attention.
It's probably from viewers who enjoy watching the 2 second Hollyoaks storylines which occur every episode.

I could never get into hollyoaks, but if it has 2 second storylines then you're probably right.

It's a shame EastEnders' good week wasn't reflected in the ratings. Aside from fairly good figures on Monday and Tuesday, it's been beaten by Coronation Street all week, beaten by Emmerdale on Thursday and tied with Emmerdale last night.

Oh well.
Whilst I agree EastEnders was great last week (especially for summer!), it's easy to see why Emmerdale overtook them in the ratings. ATM, every single episode of Emmerdale delivers great drama and fantastic performences, whereas for me EastEnders just pick and choose when they want the show to be any good. I suppose to all boils down to personal taste at the end of the day.

I also agree with a lot of the points vald makes.
