I'm 28000.

I can apparently share with my friends to bump myself up the list.

Why can't the just bloody make the phone and sell the phone.

If I don't get an invite by the time a new nexus or moto x is out then sorry but I ain't buying.

Does look quite nice, the early leak made it look much worse than what it actually does and I'm not sure what all these people have against a home button on the front.

The downsides I can see are no front facing speakers and no removable storage/battery but that is pretty much the same for all flagships bar the LG G4.

I just hope they price it reasonably and the invite system isn't too stupid.

Shall we take guesses? I reckon about £350

£399 I suspect as they have warned the new processor will be more pricey.

Is this the new version of the SD that should be a bit more reliable?

Yes, but even some devices running 2.1 Snapdragon 810 have run into overheating problems albeit much less of a problem than the early Snapdragon 810 chips.

They have promised under $450, I think £399 might be a huge shock to those used to the baseline £229 OnePlus One but that's not to to say they won't go there. The OnePlus One will remain on sale for those not prepared to pay the extra.

I would think it is highly likely both the Nexus and OnePlus Two will be over £300, maybe even the Xiaomi Mi 5.

What was the ex rate when they said that? I can't see them not being in the 300s as a)increased costs and b)they will surly want increased margins

Ps. If anyone has an invite they wish to share , please remember me.

The under $450 promise was made earlier this month.
I also see something around the £300-£399 mark, £229-299 being too cheap and £400+ being too costly.
Maybe they will have a 32GB model and a 64GB model, I know China will be getting a cheaper 32GB model but I wonder if we will have a 32GB option or just a 64GB option.

Well no price yet, they damn well like to build hype.
Nothing ground breaking imo, but the alert slider is a really neat idea.

Now let's see how it compares to the Moto X 2015 this afternoon, I think the Moto X will be better in nearly every category but then it's price will probably also reflect this.

£239 3GB 16GB
£289 4GB 64GB

The 64GB is available first. I've got to say that is an unexpected bargain.

No quick charging and no NFC, could be the desk breaker for some though.

Not bad, NFC will be a deal breaker for some I bet. Hopefully it supports LTE band 20 this time too.

Cellular (EU/IN)
GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA Band 1/2/5/8
LTE Band 1/3/5/7/8/20
Dual Nano SIM

NFC? I can remember playing with it a couple of years ago on my Nexus 4 and thinking it would be great if you could actually find a use for it. I never could and the NFC tags from then are siting in a drawer unused. They still should have included it though.

Lots of people looking very foolish this morning concerning pricing of this phone. It just shows the value of actually waiting for the announcement.

I want to love this phone, but still have a few reservations. Could still be a hit though.

My take on it: http://jmcomms.com/2015/07/28/oneplu...manufacturers/

The lack of NFC is actually my biggest worry, despite the fact I've had NFC on phones for ages and barely use it. I do feel that Google Pay will work though, if Apple Pay is anything to go by.

Seems a very odd omission. The component cost must have been tiny.

NFC is an annoying omission, when android police said it didn't have it I couldn't believe it as everyone else had assumed it would have, but they were wrong and android police right like usual.
In the short term it won't be a big deal, but when android pay launches likely next year I think I'll be jumping to the nexus 5, but for now the OnePlus Two is amazing value I just hope the invite system doesn't last too long.

What is weird is I've noticed they are two pogo pins on the back of the phone and two connection pads on the back cover but they don't look they they attach to anything. Could it be all the NFC hardware is installed apart from the coil which we could just go out and buy?

I dunno, is lack of NFC really a deal breaker? We got contactless debit cards now. I mean unless you carry multiple cards in a wallet, I just have the one debit card with me, I can tap my wallet to ride the bus or make payments and is just as quick as pulling out a phone.

To be honest I'd rather tap a bank card on a reader than a big smartphone to be honest. Not sure how many people are even aware of having NFC on a phone in the first place. But yeah mobile payments is taking off so folk may expect to be able to pay with their phones so when they realize their phone doesn't have NFC they may grumble. Can see the both sides I guess.

Personally, I don't really mind lack of NFC and is not a deal breaker for me.

But you will probably be able to make larger payments contactlessly on your phone than what you can on your card.
I think you only have to look at Apple Pay to see how big Android Pay could be,I guess China wouldn't be getting NFC payments anytime soon but that is still no excuse for the patent company not to offer it, surely it is one of the only 2015/2016 flagships without it and it doesn't cost the earth to implement.

Personally I prefer CPCs but I can see how the benefits of Apple Pay for larger transactions, with the better tracking of payments, could be convenient.

I can see myself using a normal card for buying a coffee or for travel, but if I'm buying something big then it's no real harm using a phone (certainly no time pressures as with using a phone to tap in and out on the tube with hundreds of commuters behind you cursing).

Thus, having had NFC phones for so long it seems strangely odd to lose it just as it might finally have a real purpose.

But, you can of course live without it.
