Having seen Shayne Ward in Rock of Ages in London, I have to say he is a very good actor. Looking forward to seeing him in Corrie.

I saw Shayne in Rock of Ages and he was AMAZING. I was really surprised.

I have heard a few people say this so looking forward to seeing him in the street..but no doubt there will be a lot of posters ready to criticise before giving him a chance..

Fingers crossed that Shayne's acting will be as good as his looks.

Yeah he's a good looking lad & looks right to be a new Connor!! Also what I' ve seen of the lad he comes across as grounded, likeable & determined to do well on Corrie!!

I've been very vocal in my criticism of Blackburn keeping on bringing in pointless new characters & not using the ones he's got but there's a few Connor connections on the Street still so I am hoping he'll interact well with other characters & be a real asset!!

I'm really looking forward to his debut but, as the OP is suggesting, I'm sure there are many out there with their claws sharpened waiting to pounce on every mistake in his first few scenes, simply because he is Shayne Ward!!

He's related to Michelle. He's already lost.
