What is the point in profiles without being able to set a password for each profile, also only the account holder should be able to access account details, not the owners of each profile. the age restriction thing is a joke as well and there is nothing to stop kids from accessing older material. Netflix is a joke.

Some countries where the law requires it (Germany for example) have a pin system on the profiles but the problem is the content deals. As long as there are no pins it's considered a single account still, as soon as a pin is added it's considered multiple accounts and would need new deals with additional payments.

Look at Amazon. Upon announcing Family Library they declared that Amazon Prime Streaming would be included but despite discussions already being well under way at that point it took over 6 months to add it in the US and it's only just been added to the UK one. Amazon are almost certainly paying a premium to add this ability and it's only allows sharing with a single adult and a couple of child profiles

It is amazing what Netflix are allowed to get away with.

Who else allows cross region piracy and multi user access on a single account?

Surely the way around this is to ask for a password every time a new profile is added or edited. At least password protect the account settings and payment details.
