Would you like to see Jake return again, as part of the Lucy case . Personally i'd welcome Jake back .

Yes. Was disappointed when he left. He could work well on the square and be a long-running character. Don't think I'd like to see the alcoholism storyline revisited though

I liked Jake but with no family around him he was never going to be a longrunner, I liked his flatshare with Aleks and thought there friendship was interesting but it never really went anywhere.

Why does he need family around him? I haven't seen my family for about 4 years and I lead a good life. Family isn't everything - in fact in my case my friends are my 'family'.

I liked Jake and Jamie Lomas was axed far too soon.

I think DTC needlessly axed a few of the characters from the Lorraine Newman era who had some potential.

I can definitely understand getting rid of Sam and Poppy because they were crap. AJ was uneventful and wasn't going to be around forever (plus Shabnam was reintroduced which more than made up for it). He was right to cut Dexter in the end and Carl was rubbish.

Jake, Danny, Kirsty and possibly Ava were worth saving IMO. Given that some of his own creations like Tosh, Aleks and now Charlie have been axed, those spots may not have needed filling if he kept those 3 or 4 Newman characters around.

The current version of Cindy (Mimi Keene) was brought in by Newman, and hope she sticks around. She's definitely needed for this unfolding Beale saga.

Agree with all this

The big mistake Lorraine Newman made was bringing in Sam & Dexter because it damaged the whole Ava & Cora relationship - Ava and Cora never got the chance to have a Daughter/Mother relationship because Sam & Dexter were brought in and both were horrendous characters.

It's unlikely that Ava will ever see Cora again now.

Yeah bring him, Sadie and Danny back

Jake definitely would have potential if brought back. I think he had potential had he stayed.

Sadie also had potential if EE gave her a chance. Bring her back with Jake.

Totally agree but in the eyes of DTC and his team Eastenders is always about 'Family' so anyone without any is always going to suffer.

DTC mentioned that there would be returning characters to the Lucy storyline so I was hoping that Jake could possibly return now that no one thinks that he is a killer

They completely wasted a half decent actor in Jamie Lomas. Bring back Foxy.

Always struck me as very odd he axed Kirsty, there he had an actress in Kierston Wareing who had been nominated for a BAFTA award yet he really didn't seem bothered at all that he had someone with such standing on the show. Kirsty wasn't a bad character she just needed work. Huge error letting her go.

IMO the actor and character didn't get a fair crack.
The character was never given a long enough chance to fully intergrate himself into the square.

I don't think there's anymore for him to do as part of the Lucy case surely?

Are Ava and Cora on good terms? They had a moving farewell when Ava left.

I liked Jake always thought they axed Jamie Lomas far too soon. I'd also like Kirsty and Danny back they both had lots of potential.
