What happened?

One lucky punter has bagged himself nearly £46,000 from a £5 accumulator - thanks to Everton’s sensational 3-2 comeback win away at West Brom,

The 30-year-old from Lancashire had placed the bet on a five-fold ‘Both teams to score and match result’ with odds of over 9,000/1.

The punter had already witnessed Liverpool, Cardiff, Reading and Sheffield United win without keeping a clean sheet, to set him up for a nervy Monday night. When the Baggies went 2-0 up it seemed as if he would fall short.

William Hill had offered him £4,196.19 to cash his bet out before the match, but the punter held his nerve and decided against it - and after Romelu Lukaku bagged the Blues late winner, he pocketed a huge £45,865.05.
