Vignette?

Hi all,
Ive just bought a new Pana HD TV. The pic is great but Ive noticed slightly darker corners. Is this normal? I went to a friends house who has a Samsung and his is the same. However another friend has and older JVC without any vignetting.

Most likely edge mounted LED backlighting (can be a bit uneven). The older TV most likely has CCFL tube back lighting. (It will be a lot thicker than your TV).
