EE: Sadie Young
She was a character with lots of potential but basically third wheeled Jake and Lauren the whole time she was on the square but I'd like to see her back again, what do you think?

the actress chose to leave that is why the jake/sadie story never played out.
I liked her in the salon but she isn't missed and the time for her character to fit in the square is gone I am glad the actress didnt want to stick around |

Wouldn't be any point bringing her back... actually what happened to that salon? I can't even remember.

I don't think Sadie would fit in now. She reminded me of a poorer Sharon, as did Vanessa Gold. If I wanted any character back it'd be the infamous Vanessa
but even then, there's nowhere she'd fit in.

Sadie was like a Tanya clone. She was ok but I thought she was too snobby. She didn't really fit in.

She never made any significant relationships while she was in the show so there would be no reason for her to return. She never seemed the right fit for Eastenders and I never brought her marriage with whatshisname

I have to say (despite her faults) Lorraine Newman created characters with great potential that were axed too soon. I personally think Sadie, Jake, Bella, Terry, Nikki, TJ and Ava could have stayed and would have become great characters with better writing.

The actress never chose to leave. She was always meant to be a short time character.

I thought she was brought in for a short stint, I remember reading an interview she said something about it only being for a limited time and she knew the ending of her character.

She had a really nice scene with Mick right before she left where he hugged just as she was selling up the salon. As committed as he is to Linda, Mick is really good with other females, whether it was Sadie at the time, Stacey while she was on the run or Denise during her drinking phase.

Totally random character. I remember when the "secret" of the car accident death was revealed and just thinking "Why should I give a shit?". Jake ended up fitting into the Lucy storyline but Sadie was completely pointless. Even buying the Salon was fruitless since she closed it a few months later. Silly.

but even then, there's nowhere she'd fit in.
