The Soapies are a trusted award ceremony for British soaps and dramas, where the public can vote in the awards for their favourite soaps, actors and actresses and more!

This year is our first year running the award ceremony and we are focusing on the highlights of 2014 and 2015. Our goal is to run the ceremony for several years in the future, after a hopeful success of this year's ceremony.

The lifetime achievement award was chosen by The Soapies team and we all thought that as a legend Anne Kirkbride deserved the award more than any other.

Agree with some but not all of the winners, just wondering who voted for them.

Kathy - best return? Two brief scenes doesn't make a return, we don't know what the storyline will be when she does come back properly. I think this is a nostalgia vote. And of course as we know 'nostalgia is not what it was'

I thought the Soapies was the 'fake' award show in Friends

trusted award ceremony? trusted by who? where are the red carpet photo's of the award ceremony and the tv highlights showing the actors collecting their awards.

It seems to be hosted on one of those free DIY websites too. It's basically a forum member trying to make us think it's a proper ceremony! There may be a few of his / her friends voting but there was no ceremony. It's all made up....

I never thought we were supposed to take it seriously. Were we? I assumed it was just rigged up by someone as a fun thing online in their spare time.
