I've only watched EE here and there so have missed the specials; I've watched Emmerdale since the days of Emmerdale Farm and the airplane disaster was huge. The whole village was wrecked and razed for it and burnt, bridge collapse, water mains burst, burnt out cars everywhere, villagers lost, blinded, dead animals ... everything. I couldn't believe what I was watching. It really was desolation. It looked like Sarajevo! In fact, if I recall some instalments were transmitted in a later slot.

EastEnders fairground disaster has to be the worst ever. No idea who wrote it but I hope it haunts them, (and whoever allowed it to appear on screen), to this day
