Been a while since i posted here but Have a question Is Hollyoaks in the worst states its ever been in since its creation?

Kirkwood Has completely Changed The whole Premise of the show from a student teen and family based show with high drama to a Hospital Serial Drama with characters going around in circles and no real fun in it he also seems to have an obsession with Ste and the Roscoes but what can Happen could Hollyoaks Really Survive another revamp Paul Marquess Style or do we have to accept the Hollyoaks of old is gone for good?

Any thoughts?

It's pure crap atm

The fun has been totally sucked out of the show, occasionally it is still there but these days it its all about endless affairs and the weekly hospital drama. I miss the old Hollyoaks but until Kirkwood pisses off it won't change. The fact he has said that the Tegan/Ziggy/Leela storyline is going to dominate the show shows he has no idea what fans want and quite frankly the thought of watching these three is making me want to switch off for good.

It's boring. Repetitive. So many awful characters.

I've been watching since 2006 and this is the first time I've switched off.

Current HO is the worst, most embarassing show I have ever witnessed in my life. The longer this Kirkwood tenure lasts, the more difficult it will be for the show to recover.

Used to love this show so much when it could tug at my heartstrings, but someone seems to die every week, and nobody bats an eyelid. When my favourite characters meet their maker, I expect to feel emotional, but because it happens so often, I hardly notice now and have forgotten all about it by the next episode.

I actually can't believe that people are still watching the show. Why would you want to annoy yourself like that? Its the worse show on tv

I honestly think it was worse when Lucy Allan was in charge and the period when Grace and Fraser first arrived

It's not as bad as Coronation Street is at the moment. This Bethany/Callum storyline is insulting to our intelligence.

But lucy Allan had bad stories and characters easily fixable the show still had a good few solid characters and a strong foundation Kirkwood has complety changed the show

Having watched from the beginning I can safely say that this is the worst the show has ever been.

It's impossible to invest in characters who switch personality from day to day. I don't know who anyone is. I don't like anyone in the show. I watch out of habit and it is honestly a chore.

It's shite but no where near 2009 level! Please cast your mind back to lawn mower race!

It's more sixth formers from hell domination type bad

It's been in the doldrums for a while now. There is a total lack of continuity with a lot of the storylines, and characters having personality transplants almost daily.
Making non Robbie a police officers after about 60 seconds of being in the job was just an insult to viewers intelligence.

As soon as Phoebe died, I threw in the towel. Originally, I was gonna take a break but I might as well make it permament since I don't know how much more of it I can take.

I lost interest ages ago and so long I've continued watching only in hope that the show might improve but I've been proven wrong so many times as it fails to provide good quality. Most of the time, I'm constantly getting annoyed with the show. Kirkwood has effectively ruined the show and what it used to stand for. Good drama which also provided witty and enjoyable humor as well as engaging storylines and strong characters that really stood out. Nowadays it's just numerous affairs, unbelievably ridiculous and repetitive storylines with no satisfying conclusions or build ups, too much focus on the hospital, characters getting killed off for the shock factor, the same old stunts which are no longer interesting and characters behaving out of character when it suits the writers/BK.

Unfortuantely, there's very little to keep from watching. It's just a load of shit and I've had enough of it. Maybe I'll come back to it someday if it's lucky enough to bounce back from this terrible state hopefully once BK is gone but for now, it's goodbye from me. I used to love this show but now I can't stand it. The state of it right now is embarrasing and god knows how worse it's gonna get if Kirkwood sticks around any longer. Awful and deluded. Bleak future ahead. Well to be honest, it's been awfully dire for a long while now.

I have loads of episodes from 2005 and 2006, (courtesy of You Tube) and from the comments i read these days, I suspect the Hollyoaks of that time is a completely different programme to what it is now. A much better and more entertaining and watchable programme.

Heck, I have episodes from 1996 and 1997 and they're probably an improvement on 2015 as well!

The ridiculous Diane / Tony / Tegan plot is annoying me. No solicitor in the land would advise Diane that she would get custody of that child - regardless of Tegan's personal problems.

The character of Diane is ruined and Tony is being dragged down with her. Shame as I love Alex in the role but the dross she's being given must be hard to play out.

What i dont understand is where is the other twin gone we never see or hear about anthony did they forget all about him?

I refuse to watch live anymore, I won't give them the ratings for this shit. Pretty close to giving up altogether.

Hollyoaks is terrible at the moment, and I say that as someone who enjoyed 2013 and some of 2014. Storylines have gone way beyond sensational/escapism and are now just downright stupid, and most characters are either unbelievable or deeply unlikeable.

Lucy Allan's 2009/10 was equally as bad but in different ways. It was just terribly dull and boring to watch. Nothing happened in most episodes and when something did happen it was executed terribly. The show had a really odd vibe and remember the Flashforward? Characters like Calvin (who became horrible to everyone) and Zac (who became racist) were ruined to fit that storyline.

To think most of us two years ago were saying we need Kirkwood back to save the whole the becareful what you wish for phrase has never been so true

The hospital stuff has to be the most insulting of all.

From the way people can just walk in and help themselves to drugs etc to the unprofessionalism of the nurses and the way Dr S'avage has to be involved in every admittance.

And by Diane's logic if she takes Rose then does Tegan get Deedee?
