Sarah Harding Threads
What do you think?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S79_HGuRRts I don't think its that bad definetly what I would have expected her to release solo. I just think she has left it too late this should have been out in 2009 or 2010 to cash in on GAs then surge of popularity. can see this tanking worse than her stint in Corrie. |

I only listened to it once and thought it was awful.
I will still give her EP a listen at some point, as maybe it's just 'Threads' I don't like. Also she has definitely left this too late, but even so, I hope she has some solo success because she's infinitely more likeable than her ex-bandmates!

Like the song. The verses are brilliant. The chorus isn't what it could be.
I really like the music video. Signed Physical single ordered. Big GA fan here.. |

I like it. Good song and she has a decent voice. I cannot see her music doing as well as Cheryl, but good luck to her. Music isn't just about getting number ones, it is about artists producing a decent track and music they like.

Her 'Thread's Ep is on Spotify.
'Threads' track listing. 1-'Threads' 2-'Live before I die' 3-'Indelible' 'Indelible sounds like a slow ballad. Her voice sounds good on the track. She can hold a note. |

I'm not that keen on Threads (the chorus is so monotonous!) but the other two songs on her E.P. are pretty good. I think she should have released Live Before I Die as the main song, not Threads. Anyway, good luck to her. I like Sarah. She may not have the best voice but she's likeable. She's a trooper and doesn't give up without a fight. She's been through a lot, by all accounts. Poor woman is really being slated for both her music and acting at the moment, it must hurt! I really loved Girls Aloud and still miss them and their brilliant Xenomania music. For me, Nicola Roberts released by far the best album by an ex-GA member. I still listen to Cinderella's Eyes a lot. I wish she'd make more music. The album was 4 years ago now, why hasn't she recorded anothe one? I know her debut wasn't a commercial success but it was certainly a critical one!

I really like the music video. Signed Physical single ordered. Big GA fan here.. I am also a big GA and Sarah fan, hence my username. (Sarahsaurus is actually the name of a real dinosaur, though.) Sadly I don't think this is going to do any good in the charts. Sarah is getting terrible press, she gets slated for everything she does. OK her Corrie appearance wasn't great but some of the stuff I read was just plain nasty. She has done a lot of promotion for this, radio interviews and TV appearances (she was on Lorraine this morning, performing the single, and got slated again),like Girls Aloud used to do back in the day. But I don't know if all that promotion will have helped much. When Nadine launched her short lived solo career in 2010 it was the same, the media built it up as a battle with Cheryl and took Cheryl's side and slated Nadine every chance they got,and revelled in her failure. She was made out to be some sort of diva. All I can say is I've met Nadine and she wasn't like that at all. I support all the Girls and all their solo ventures. I saw Girls Aloud live thirty-three times. I went to Cheryl's solo tour,I went to see Kimberley in Shrek,I went to see Nadine in Michael Flatley's show last year and I went to see Sarah in St Trinians 2. I don't take sides between them. They're all great as far as I'm concerned. |

![]() Sarah seems lovely. She's came under so much criticism in recent weeks for her role in Corrie, admittedly it wasn't great but it wasn't god awful either and there has been some pretty appalling stuff been written online. It's probably only going to get worse as this it is inevitable the single will flop. |

Maybe she could go back to Corrie as an extra for the next 40 years, with Norris reminding Rita that she hasn't paid her paper bill

I kind of feel for her. She had everything in place - a stint on a respectable reality show, guest role on a huge show and then a single release - but every single thing she has done has been a disaster.
She was trending on Twitter whilst on Masterchef - for all the wrong reasons. Coronation Street was a total disaster. They said at the beginning that it was 4 eps with a view to returning later down the line, now she is trying to save face by saying it was only ever 4 eps. Threads - it's rubbish. The song and video are cheap and dated. There's no buzz other than trending (again) for a terrible performance. It must grate on her that in a couple of months Cheryl will be able to be peform any nonsense on The X Factor and be hovering around no.1 in no time.... |

It does seem that Sarah can do no right at the moment. A few newspapers seem to really have it in for her, firstly for her Corrie stint and then her first performance of Threads. She wasn't brilliant at Corrie but it was just a guest stint. The idiots writing that she "ruined the show" obviously need a reality check because the show was ruined the moment Stuart Blackburn was instated as producer. Furthermore, Les Dennis is abysmal and certainly worse then Sarah but he didn't face the huge backlash she did.
As for Threads I'm not keen on the song, but I do wish her well. If talentless Cheryl can manage five #1 singles then Sarah should do well, but admittedly I'm doubtful that she will. |

According to people on the Popjustice Forum, sales of this are not good at all.
![]() There's next to no chance of it making the Top40. It could even miss the Top75. There were a limited number of signed CD singles available from her website and it seems even they have not sold out. I's going to be more bad news for Sarah next week, and no doubt more of a kicking in the press. I feel really sorry for Sarah. She has tried so hard but it seems people just aren't interested. |

The EP has fallen to #70 on iTunes and the single is out of the iTunes top 1500
![]() I knew this song wouldn't go top 40 but that's just shocking, especially as she's done quite a lot of TV promo. I think she would have done ever so slightly better if she'd released two CD singles. One with Live Before You Die as a b-side, the second with Indelible. Then done a load of HMV signings. Although, as said above, she needed a better song. |

It's a shame she didn't release one of the other 2 songs from her E.P. as the main single. Both of them are better than Threads, which I think has good verses but a dreadful chorus!
Btw, everyone who keeps knocking her for miming on the Lorraine show, I don't watch that show but have heard people say that every musical guest mimes on there anyway, so she's not unique in that. She didn't mime it when she first performed the song on this show though - she sang it live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sCe...E&spfreload=10 so the people going around saying she never sings live on TV are wrong there! |

I can't believe someone at the record label listened to Threads and thought "this will be a really good single".
Whoever made that decision needs sacking. Threads is absolutely terrible, the chorus trying so hard to be big and euphoric but ending up sounding so flat and lifeless. "whoooaaahh" <--- you can almost hear the boredom in Sarah's voice when she sings this bit. |

Live Before I Die: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYyU...4&spfreload=10 Indelible is the other track on the E.P. and is a nice ballad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPz4...0&spfreload=10 Overall though she needs much better material than this! Actually it's a shame she never released either of these 2 tracks from the St Trinian's 2 soundtrack as singles: Make It Easy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8zQOKGu51M Too Bad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLpO...E&spfreload=10 |

Things are going from bad to worse for Sarah as she's now facing a shed load of new criticism for lip synching on Lorraine (it was pretty dire though!), with people saying she can't sing or act after Corrie (that wasn't great either). There is going to be more critism as they single has flopped. |
